It is set in a beautiful and quiet location somewhere near the forest. The rooms are quite nice and clean and the people there are really friendly and polite. Although the beds aren't as comfortable and big, the food in return was still very tasty. All in all there are a lot of activities and other possibilities that you can do alone or with friends and family to make sure you enjoy your stay...

The place was nice, food was tasty and the dining area was clean. The rooms, on the other hand, were a real disgrace. It was dirty, dusty, the armchairs looked like they had already had 20 painful years behind them. In addition, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and made a lot of noise and with a bunk bed, you couldn't dare to stay on it for more than a few seconds. The wood seemed very old to me. The bathrooms were divided into 2 tiny "rooms". If you're not slim, you have a very big problem there. In one of the bathrooms there was only a light on the mirror, which meant that you couldn't get any light in the shower, which was around the corner. These are my experiences from the boys area.

Room:We stayed in the family room for 1 night, and there were 2 baby beds upon request. The employee at reception was super nice and attentive and changed our room without asking so that we didn't have to climb stairs. The room itself had a total of 3 single beds and a bathroom with shower. Everything seemed neat and clean. Surprisingly, we also found the beds comfortable to sleep on.There is a star deduction for the baby beds because the mattress was very worn out and the little ones had to sleep in our bed.Location:A bit remote but right next to the forest for nice walks including the fire lookout tower. Bus maps are available in the foyer. We were there by car, the nearest Aldi, DM, Kaufland are about 2 km away.Within walking distance there is also an alpaca farm and a small chicken farm where you can buy fresh eggs.Eat:For lunch on the first day there was chicken breast, vegetarian and vegan meatballs as well as curried rice as a side dish and dessert, as well as a salad bar with fresh ingredients.Snack:Coffee cake, very tasty bee sting and strawberry cake.Evening Brit:Bread, rolls and a selection of cheese and cold cuts are also available in vegetarian versions. Leftovers from the lunch were also offered, which we think is a good thing from a sustainability perspective. However, the rolls were no longer tasty, so there was also a small deduction. All in all, we had a really good time, the staff both at lunchtime and in the morning were really very friendly. You shouldn't forget that it is a youth hostel and yet everything was at a good level.

The food was very dry. It seemed to us as if the food used for the lecture had been thrown into the microwave and then presented to us. Room dirty bed uncomfortable. It stinks here. And the fat guy with the glasses at the food distribution was very unfriendly, wrong job I would say. Not recommended

We were guests in the house for 4 days now, and I have to say it was fantastic. The collaboration with the hotel staff was great and they were always available to answer questions and other concerns and took care of things quickly...Furthermore, the rooms were great and despite a bit of skepticism at the beginning, they were thrown in the trash when we first entered the room. You quickly felt comfortable. The breakfast was also great, you had everything you needed and a different delicacy every day and the staff there was also very friendly and accommodating. And the bar in the Haus der madness, the people there were also great, committed and sometimes for to have some fun, it was a relaxed atmosphere...Oh and if something was empty, shopping was quickly organized if time allowed so that the fun could continue.Overall, everyone was more than happy, as I heard, and rightly so...I look forward to being with you next time.
