We had a really nice stay. The surroundings are beautiful and you can enjoy nature to the fullest. There are many excursion options around the region.There is a fabulous view from every room and the hosts give you a warm welcome. We were looked after very well and the breakfast was great.We recommend the guesthouse and will definitely come back

We would like to highly recommend the guesthouse :) Superbly located with a wonderful view of the valley, it is an ideal starting point for hiking. We were greeted warmly and friendly and enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather didn't work out for us, but we will definitely be back! :) M&L

Well, I have to say, I haven't booked such a nice guesthouse in a long time. Everything was perfect! A super friendly host family, a top clean, large and lovingly furnished room with sanitary facilities, a great and cozy shared kitchen with everything that goes with it. The view from the room and from the large terrace of this enchanting landscape is just right if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday. The breakfast buffet was very rich, tasty and served with love. I can really only recommend Pension Schöbel. Many thanks to the owner family!

We got stranded here on a multi-day hiking tour on the Schwarzatal Panoramaweg. A stroke of luck: wonderful hosts, cozy room, great view, roaring deer in the evening and fantastic food. We spontaneously decided to stay here again on the way back and were happy about all the amenities and the very helpful hosts. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

A week of autumn vacation in the Slate Mountains and we ended up in Deesbach. We didn't know DEESBACH before, but it has the steepest street and local street in Germany, the birthplace of Hugo Kuemmerling is here and there is the Pension Schöbel. We were welcomed very warmly, everything was uncomplicated, so we just felt comfortable. A beautiful room with a view of the wooded valley and the sunrise, quiet, no street noise and a really rich and lovingly arranged breakfast. All of this at an unbeatable price. After we had already experienced winter there, we wanted to experience summer too. It was wonderful again... especially for me as a motorcyclist. Great curvy roads and landscapes. Lots of exercise for the dog. Nice clean rooms and sanitary facilities. Breakfast rich and enough choice. Owner friendly and always available to answer questions. Now take autumn with you again. We'll be back.

The location is great for hiking and sleigh rides with the children. From the turn of the year there will be a new owner, we are excited.Well, the year was over and we stopped by. This time ten people, with the motorcycles. The hostel father offered to be a guide, and so we discovered small streets in Thuringia on the way via the border museum behind Hildburghausen to the Inselsberg. The food was absolutely delicious - especially grandma's sheet cake. So, see you soon.And there we were again. We were guests here again during the autumn holidays. This time the focus was on hiking and visiting sights, Saalfeld fairy grottoes, Oberweißbacher Bergbahn...The hostel people gave us some great tips for hiking nearby, the Lütte doesn't last that long yet.We'll be back again on New Year's Eve and we're looking forward to snow.Yes, unfortunately nothing happened with snow. We celebrated New Year's Eve there with friends and felt very comfortable.This time we were there in a small group with the motorcycles. We were offered great accommodation, delicious cuisine and a beautiful route.

A very cozy and familiar little guesthouse in a beautiful location, a perfect starting point for hikes and excursions! Extremely nice and helpful landlords. This was our second visit and it won't be the last. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

I have just spent a wonderful week at the guesthouse with my granddaughter. We felt completely comfortable, my granddaughter (3 years old) said "Grandma, this is a great adventure". The best thing is the view, we were particularly impressed by the Scottish highland cattle... just pure nature... The rooms are very lovingly furnished, the kids are also well looked after, toys, books... for every need there was always an open ear. The food was super tasty, hit the mark without any prior consultation, as the saying goes. The area is simply beautiful. We'll definitely be back.Babsi and Ems from Berlin
