Pension in an excellent quiet location. The way to the guest house is well marked. The room is very clean, there is no kettle, considering that the restaurant only works for breakfast and dinner in a very limited time, which is a big shame, the outdoor seating is very nice. Food is inviteable. Unfortunately, the welcome from the owner was embarrassing to say the least, since we arrived at 18.15, we were already without dinner, although we had paid for it. The information that you need to arrive by 5 p.m. is not mentioned anywhere. The compensation was provided to us only after we solved the problem with spa.cz, where we purchased the stay package. The owner's interest in clients is almost zero, especially if you have any reservations - in our case it was very cold in the room, the problem was solved only after a long debate, but it was corrected. I recommend especially for summer stays, own kettle and all hygiene needs. Suitable primarily for clients used to a spartan approach and minimal expectations.

A nice, quiet, cozy, family-run guest house on the edge of Františkovy Lázně, which is ideally located as a starting point for your trips around the area, but also just for relaxing rest and relaxation. The city center with a colonnade, springs, Pawlik-Aquafórum spa clinic and pools, Amerika Forest Park, SOOS National Nature Reserve, Seeberg Castle and other attractions are at your fingertips.The owner and operator in one person takes exemplary care of the overall running of the guesthouse and tries to ensure the complete satisfaction of all visitors. Do you need advice, recommend something, or just have a friendly chat. No problem. The owner is very accommodating to everyone. The rooms are clean and sufficiently equipped. There is also a TV with reception of Czech and German programs and, at the moment, invaluable WIFI reception. We solved the meal by using the half-board offer. Everyone can choose what they want for breakfast. Fried eggs, ox eyes, sausages, bacon, salami, cheeses, vegetables, yogurt, marmalade, butter, rolls or sandwiches. It is not a problem to prepare soluble or ground coffee, you can choose tea in a cassette with several types and flavors. One-course dinner, minutes and always tasty. If you're lucky, I recommend a tasty mixture of Hydrangea according to the owner's recipe. Afterwards, you can wash down the dinner with a beer from Svijan, or treat yourself to a glass of good wine.We were completely satisfied with our one-week stay (12.7. - 17.7.) in all respects, and therefore I highly recommend Penzion Hortenzie.

I do not recommend it as a romantic stay or rest, you can hear the main road all night and right at the head where you sleep you have a bathroom and a toilet from the neighboring room, the breakfasts are big but the dinners are inedible. You have to come for breakfast at 8 a.m. and dinner at 6 p.m., otherwise you're out of luck. The restaurant is otherwise closed. Dirty toilet, cobwebs everywhere after a week's stay, no cleaning or changing of towels or refilling of hygiene items. Not once asking if we need something, not announcing the food and if you don't eat something you are unlucky, serving juice in the morning in a glass with optical lips. Otherwise, Františkovy Lázně is a beautiful place for recreation, we recommend the Selsky dvůr pension, where it cooks excellently, and booking soos.

Maybe I don't understand some of the reviews beforehand. My friend and I bought the accommodation through a discount portal, where the price should have included 2x tickets for 2 hours to Aquafora, a bottle of wine and a sweet surprise. As soon as the owner explained everything to us, gave us the keys, we went to our room. After opening the doors, we were surprised, because according to the reviews, we did not expect any miracle. But we were in for a nice surprise. Everywhere clean, well-ventilated, the room was furnished in an exemplary manner and completely met all needs. A bottle of wine was prepared on the table and also a sweet surprise in the form of tatra cakes, that was nice. I don't even understand the comments about the food, which was absolutely enough for my friend and I, and I have to say for him that both dinners were absolutely excellent and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Breakfast was also absolutely sufficient, on the first day we received a plated plate, I note with FRESH cheese and ham, baked rolls, buttermilk and jams. The next day we had the opportunity to choose between sausages and scones. You can have coffee or tea for breakfast, in addition there is juice for breakfast and you can have any drink for dinner. The owner was very accommodating, kind. We will certainly continue to recommend this guesthouse. Frantiskovy Lázně (colonnade) is nearby, about a few minutes of normal walking. There is also a Lidl and a pharmacy nearby, so again only a plus. As we were worried about the reviews and did not expect much, this pension pleasantly surprised us and we were not here for the last time either.

Staying at Pension Hortenzie fulfilled all our ideas about a beautifully spent vacation. We were very satisfied with the accommodation, the food, the cleanliness of the room, the quiet environment and the friendly manager, who was also an excellent cook. Disaster, we were there from 24.12 to 26.12.When we arrived, the guest house looked beautiful from the outside, we parked and went to pay for our stay. The host was pleasant, but such an unsympathetic person from the looks of it. After paying we got the keys and went to the room. When we entered the room, the corridor was nice and overall the room was quite clean and spacious, only the sheets were dirty, as if from red wine, which wouldn't matter, we somehow got over it. At 17:00 there was Christmas Eve dinner; fish soup and carp with potato salad, it was average, I think the chef should have a lot to learn because it was quite simple dishes. .. And the only plate with sweets was probably quite tasty.. The second morning for breakfast there was nothing to choose from, hemenex and that was it. It wasn't bad, except for the hard pastry. In addition, there was another older couple staying there, who probably wasn't there for the first time, because the owner of the house was standing between us during the entire snack time and doing things, which was quite unpleasant for us. For dinner, there were fries and a vegetable mixture with pork, again there was no selection and it was worth the big H...!!! Blivajz like somewhere in a pub on the corner. We tasted the local beer and had 0.2 white wine each .. I thought the drink would be included in the price, but it wasn't, that surprised us too .. The last day for breakfast was a plated plate, two rounds of salami, two slices of cheese and a piece of vegetables, but for the money, a disaster!! So, and the biggest pearl at the end, when we handed over the keys, we calmly set off on another trip to K.V. and the next day, when we were leaving Karlovy Vary, where we also slept in the studánka boarding house, where for half the price than here, there was much more luxury. The gentleman from Hortensia called us that we left dirty sheets, which pissed me off a lot, and he was spouting nonsense like we'll have to pay for it, that it can't be washed, so he'll send an invoice. So we told him that the sheets were dirty when we entered the room, after which he started to get angry that we were idiots and cattle rustlers. He even started threatening the shelf, so we told him to call the shelf through the dirty sheets, it would certainly be interesting for them :D well, never a joke, I really don't recommend it, the host probably hasn't learned much sense and if this is how he tries to rob his guests, then it's quite embarrassing and he should leave the business .. I understand that it was Christmas, but if the owner doesn't like it, then let him not do it and rob at Christmas, I don't mind ...

Home boarding house. Clean, tidy rooms. Breakfast buffet, served dinner. Parking right on the property. About 15 minutes walk to the center to the springs. I recommend it to those who like peace.

23.11.- 25.11.2018 we were accommodated here. We were very pleasantly surprised by the owner's approach, he was willing and accommodating. The rooms are clean and cozy, the food is excellent. The overall impression of the guesthouse was very pleasant. We definitely recommend it.
