Classic German restaurant. Lots of pork schnitzel on the menu. Some beef steak and few vegetarian options too. Draft beer from a local brewery available. Outside seating close to a noisy street but fine. Service was a little slow (full restaurant) but super friendly. Food was ok. Steak was more medium well than medium rare but of solid quality. Mushroom, bacon and dumpling dish was good. Prices normal.

Otherwise I always ate the Tyrolean. Now tested the new Bolognese schnitzel and it was also an absolute blast. Please leave it on the card. Simply recommend everything there. Everything was freshly prepared and the salad as a side dish was also perfect. I really enjoy being there 😎

Very quaint. The waitress, a nice older lady, is very friendly and accommodating. The food was consistently delicious. The salad is crisp and fresh and the schnitzels are tender and juicy. The prices are reasonable. Gladly again.

Nice ambience. Everything very rustic. There is a beautiful old tiled stove in the room. The food is super delicious, everything is freshly prepared. It's just a small room with about 6 tables, one of which is a large regulars' table. There is also a small bar in the room. If you want to eat there, you should make a reservation early. Unfortunately there is no children's menu, at least one or two dishes could have been included in the menu. Conclusion: The food is great. Rich portions. Highly recommended.

Service very nice and accommodating, furnishings rustic. The side salad was great and gave us hope for the main course, which unfortunately suited the ambience. Not bad, but pretty average.

We have been regular guests at the inn for years and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly, cheerful and quick. In addition to the delicious schnitzel variations, there are always seasonal and monthly changing dishes, such as cabbage wraps or shredded beef à la Stroganoff (both great - 5 stars!) in autumn. We are always thrilled. And we've never gone home hungry, as the portions are really suitable for even good eaters. It is strongly recommended to make a reservation in advance, as the inn is busy and not too big - but very homely. People who like to eat out late should know that the kitchen opens quite early, so it's best to find out in advance until when warm food will still be available. In any case, for us: we always like to come back :-)

I can't quite understand the enthusiasm. My food wasn't enjoyable, it was a bit glutamate heavy and the price was pretty steep. A grindkopp doesn't become a steak because I put some peppercorns in the sauce. For just under 17 euros, well. The service was friendly. For non-Odenwälder people: Grindkopp is a somewhat inflated meatball.
