Thalmühle

We spent a weekend here last month with the whole family (grandma, grandpa, children, grandchildren) and were thrilled. There was something for all ages and preferences. The complex is in top condition and is located in an absolutely quiet location at the foot of Falkenstein Castle (an absolute must to hike up here and marvel at the medieval castle). The host couple is very accommodating and obliging, which we really appreciated. The many tips we received for leisure activities were also very helpful.

Great place to take a break

We were able to get to know the Thalmühle at a ceremony and also stayed overnight.The facility is really beautifully designed and was very well maintained at the time of our visit. We had a family room, which was very chic and not too cluttered. Everything seemed very modern, clean and lovingly designed.The rooms for the celebration were more than sufficient for a good 40 guests and everything technically necessary seemed to be there (we were just guests). The paths to the kitchen, the sanitary facilities and the way out were short and clearly visible.Since we visited the Thalmühle with a small child, we also paid attention to how child-friendly it was. In addition to normal equipment such as a high chair, cot or changing room, the entire staff was also very friendly and open-minded. For example, the breakfast table with a children's chair was prepared straight away. But also due to the really nice, quiet location and the general well-being of all guests, there was a very open and relaxed atmosphere.The breakfast buffet was also very nicely designed, everything you wanted was available and great care was taken to ensure that there was always enough. I particularly liked the fresh baked goods.

We had a family reunion here. We absolutely give it 5 stars for the ambience and the great facilities within the very modern holiday apartment with a really great feel-good atmosphere. Our holiday apartment had lots of details such as an indoor bathroom with a sunlight window and an original skylight that could be converted into a small balcony. Unfortunately, the service from the hostess was very poor: a really loud and abusive cursing at our small children when they entered a piece of lawn, which was demarcated with wooden planks, where lawn was apparently supposed to grow (flat tape would certainly have helped here, as it is not perceived as a privacy screen could); There was also a very disparaging look at us, as we used the beautiful terrace as a family get-together and took the dishes from several holiday apartments. We were told directly and emphatically that if each holiday apartment did not have the exact number of dishes, extra fees would be charged. We were very orderly and tried to put all the tables back in their place (using markings, as we were worried about causing trouble). It is also a shame that due to a lack of communication, we were not recommended to use/book the group room for the evening. It was blamed on us, but we nevertheless recommend proactively approaching arriving groups. This can clarify a lot of things. This way you can reflect all your expectations directly to the guest instead of always just referring to the house rules. So unfortunately this very charming and clean place loses its value for us and we will not be coming back. From a camper perspective, very nice and tidy. There is also a small, cute cafe at certain times and the playground is also very good! A side note: The hostess' husband was extremely accommodating.

Great location for private family celebrations with immediate overnight accommodations. Very accommodating hosts who try to accommodate all of their guests' wishes.As a caterer, I like being at the Thalmühle because the options for guests are very diverse.

A fantastic campsite! The idyllic nature, first-class facilities and state-of-the-art sanitary facilities made our stay unforgettable. The power stations for campers were extremely practical, the staff were very friendly and the location was simply great. We'll definitely be back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
