The Gasthaus zur Moosmühle is really what we were looking for in Bavaria. We felt very comfortable, guided by Martina in a very traditional way. The food, especially the saddle of venison, is excellent.

We went to Hotel Moosmühle for a short vacation with our children and dog and were very excited. Nice staff, rooms were clean and tidy and also very comfortable beds. In general, the room was a mix of country house but also modern, which made it very comfortable. The food is highly recommended, everything is fresh and very good. Also at breakfast there is a great selection, everything regional, homemade and fresh. We can definitely recommend the inn!

Here the guest is still king!! Very clean room, great home-style cooking with large portions (which I could hardly manage), everything was always freshly prepared, very hospitable and at a fair price. I really enjoyed the stay. If you want a friendly atmosphere on your vacation, I recommend staying at the Moosmühle.

Today the four of us were eating goose in the Moosmühle. We thought we would get another good goose the day after the fair. Although we each ordered breast or knuckle, we received a mixture that the chef came up with himself. It consisted of one Hsxee and another part of the goose. Everything was safe fromprevious day. The skin is leathery, little flesh, dry and hard with flax.After our complaint, the landlady came and explained that no one else had complained, so the matter was settled for her. It was definitely the last time we were there.

A 500-year-old inn with morbid charm. The rooms were clean and functional, the food and breakfast were delicious and the staff was attentive and accommodating. We stayed 1 night to start our motorcycle tour. Simple, down-to-earth Bavarian inn, value for money perfectly fine. Would come back at any time.

We were on the drive from Kaufbeuren to Garmisch, 1 p.m. We were hungry but didn't make a reservation. We got a place in the room right away. We met a very friendly staff.The toilet was very clean.After we ordered the drink came straight away, despite the fact that there were a few large families sitting in the next room, the service was almost perfect (the chef himself).All the food that came out of the kitchen looked very attractive and tasty.The staff was friendly and accommodating despite the crowds.We both ate the Schnitzel Moosmühle filled with ham and Obazten - very good, something completely different. To recommend it, there were fried potatoes with onions and bacon.The price for 2 main courses and 2 drinks was just under €40, which is a very good price.I'll be back in the near future to try the game dishes.My conclusion - it is recommended, especially if you like good home-style cuisine (no pizza, no burgers, etc.).Best regards

Unfortunately not recommended…I was on vacation there with my wife and two children and what can I say, you can really feel the legalization of marijuana here. The son of the house, who appeared to be totally stoned, screamed throughout the house and made fun of my daughter. Of course there was a smell in the whole house and the son consistently behaved very disrespectfully towards those around him. However, his parents were too lazy to do anything about it and insulted him back. You felt like you were in the wrong movie...Food was often served lukewarm and as already described in other reviews, used dishes with leftover food stood around at the tables all day long. Around the inn also very messy (garbage, broken glass, etc.).Unfortunately not a commendable accommodation, never again…

Due to very bad weather and impossible to continue driving with the trike, we booked this guesthouse for one night at short notice. Rooms very clean. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and a lot of it was homemade. The owner and waitress were very friendly, courteous and helpful. I can only recommend it

We arrived 10 trikers all soaked at the hotel and the owner was absolutely nice she gave us the possibility to use her own dry cleaner for our soaked stuff. That don't happen very often. …

Just Amazing. The owner so helpfull and Kind. The breakfast and Dinner fare the best in all région...WE are trikers and bikers so bene all over Bavaria..but this hôtel was the best...i suggest everyone this Location.

We drove past the inn a few times, it looked very inviting from the street.On a very warm day at the end of August we wanted to stop for dinner as we happened to be nearby. We arrived about half an hour before opening and waited outside the door in the guest garden.Unfortunately there were still beer glasses (wouldn't have been a big problem), especially. a. but at another table there was a fly-covered fish residue along with uneaten leftover food, apparently from lunch in the blazing sun.Already gave off a "good smell"...You certainly don't have to wait long for rats and mice.The garden was not very well maintained.
