Whenever we are on holiday in Germany and our stay is near Elscheid, we always eat here. Very good food, always top quality and good service. If you are in the area you should really eat there.

Food is very tasty 😋Special requests are addressed without any problems. Friendly service. I would recommend booking a table as it is very popular.Playground and free-roaming animals/petting zoo. Very nice farm shop with a great selection of food and various souvenirs.

One of my top favorites when it comes to eating out for years.Since I personally enjoy cooking (and I claim to be good at it), my culinary bar is set quite high. Here in Ellscheid at the Janshen poultry farm, I have never been disappointed with the food. Very tasty and rich dishes, the staff always friendly and attentive.The party service is also recommended: for a communion with around 20 guests, we received our food extremely punctually. The dishes selected in advance were visually beautifully presented and so rich that everyone was more than full.The restaurant and party service therefore receive five stars from me :)

We became aware of this inn on the recommendation of friends and have now eaten there several times.The food is great and highly recommended. I've had various meat dishes so far and all of them were tasty and filling. But my absolute recommendation are the tiles.During one visit the service was weak, but otherwise it was always great.

We came to eat. We were there 3 times in 4 days. The poultry is great. Not overly seasoned. Juicy. Excellent quality, which you notice in the food.On the second visit there was already a new menu with chanterelles. So regional and seasonal. Mr. Janshen and his staff are very friendly.

Actually nice service including a professional, friendly bossThe hit "half chicken" was dry from the deep fryer, little meat, not good quality in my opinion and the price was way too high 19.50 for a dry rooster with fries salad from the buffet the small bowl of chicken broth for 7.50 I would have expected more from a poultry farm .After we had eaten and wanted to pay to leave this place as quickly as possible, not only were we forgotten, some guests stood at the counter for quite a long time and waited while the boss and his waitresses ran in and out of the kitchen.Paying was extremely slow...We ate there several times 7 years ago, very friendly boss + good service, the price-performance ratio was right, back then I gave it 5 stars.Today the two stars are still too much, far too expensive, poorly organized service, the quality and method of preparation, for example of the chicken, is not worth the high price.approx. 65,- for 2x H.broth and 2 half chickens 1 large and 1 small speciOverall, it was an expensive disappointment and definitely the last time.
