Positive: great extensive property. The room was ok (batteries in the remote control didn't work and were already oxidized). Staff who spoke German was nice.Negative: My husband booked a double room (with a double bed) through booking (€111/night). I was able to travel with you at short notice. However, it was not possible to book me for the same amount of €111 (total €222). I had to pay an extra €185 per night.That's why we won't come back, sorry

A very tastefully renovated castle hotel and residence with a wonderful, well-kept large park, in a quiet location, near Schwerin. We used a double room for 1 night in the residence for 180€ the room including breakfast. The room was tastefully decorated, the bed was very comfortable. Now to the things that didn't like and bothered us. We would like to emphasize again that the residence was a 4 star hotel. When we moved into the room, it felt like 50 degrees of heat as there was no air conditioning in the entire house. An extremely cheap, wobbly fan covered in spider threads was supposed to cool us down. We also noticed that there was no hairdryer in the bathroom, which is certainly standard in 3 star hotels these days. It was a shame that the breakfast buffet the next morning (at the Schlosshotel 5stars) which had to be managed exclusively by 2 interns, which meant that neither tables were cleared or cleared and we had to wait over 20 minutes for our eggs. Were forgotten and then given after breakfast when asked. And that with around 8 guests in the breakfast room. The breakfast overall was okay but not upscale gastronomy. It's a shame and definitely not worthy of a 4/5 star hotel with such prices. All in all, the ambience was quite nice with rough edges. There should be no savings on staff, as here! The prices quoted here are clearly too high and not worthy of a 4 or 5 star hotel. We very much hope that the constructive criticism that we have personally formulated in-house will be well received.
