Restaurant Reiherhorst

We had a work event at Reiherhorst. There were drinks and then a hot bar of food. There drinks were ok, though the two bottles if red wine we tasted were bad. The good was ok, with a good mix for our event. The atmosphere inside is cute and cozy.

We are always happy to be guests at the Heron's Nest, whether for large family celebrations, cozy dinners in small groups, on special occasions, or as a destination on excursions just for a little something. We are enthusiastic about the individual advice and implementation of the celebrations. The location is great and we really like what is being done with it. We think the food is excellent and prepared with a lot of love. There is always something suitable for young and old, and we also thought the drink recommendations were great. We are already looking forward to the next time in the Heron's Nest.

We had dinner at the Heron's Nest on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024. Everything was perfect, from the wine recommendation to the starter of crab soup. The main course was duck breast, perfectly fried, vegetables al dente. The gentleman had the men's table setting for dessert and I had the women's table setting. The restaurant, the ambience and the service are absolutely recommended.

We celebrated our wedding here. From the planning to the celebration, one can only say: perfectly organized! On our day, which was so important to us, we never had to worry or think about the process or organization. Mr. Garen and his team had everything perfectly under control at all times. The food was also very, very good, the service and the service team were world class at all times! Our guests were well looked after at all times.At this point you can only say that whoever celebrates here is doing everything right! Thank you for the perfect day!

So we were invited there for dinner on Sunday. First of all, the beautiful thing.Very nicely furnished and several celebrations can take place without being disturbed. The first waiter was super professional at lunch.It's worth saying about the food! Unfortunately frozen goods or instant soup East Frisian wedding soup. Only a machine can cut egg custards like this.Beef roulades were Tk goods. Equally sized portions are only possible in machine form. The pig medallions as well.It was a shame that the warming plates didn't really keep warm and the medallions already with mushroom sauce were mixed with the roulades with brown sauce on the tray. So it is very difficult for mushroom allergy sufferers to eat the roulades. Potatoes, croquettes as well as frozen goods. The sauces were instant.Everything was prepared great, but I still had the feeling that it was like food in a senior residence or canteen. Just beautifully presented and a great ambience.At tea time we were first asked to take the cake and tea ourselves and the new waitress repeatedly asked the birthday child energetically to open tea time and to get up. If looks could have killed, we would all be gone. When the tea was empty and the new waitress came, the tone changed and she energetically asked to sit down again immediately. She would confine herself to the table. I don't know if the waitress was last in the Bundeswehr, but she would probably be better off there. This made the atmosphere very tense. I wouldn't give this a star but the previous waiter was great. So 2 stars.However the view is 5 star. All in all I can't judge the prices but from what I've read they're in the upper segment. Too much for the food on offer when you know that there is a lot of frozen food. But the restaurant and the ambience also have to be financed.
