We have been here several times for wine tasting and have already chewed a lot of wine! For us one of the best wineries with a great price/performance ratio!

The wines are excellent, we particularly liked the Gewürztraminer. Ordering always goes smoothly. We are pleased to have gotten to know the winery on one of our motorhome trips. We therefore cannot rate the rooms. Everything else, however, fits.

One of our favorite wineries👍Fam. Seelos super friendly, competent advice. We have been buying here for years and also have wines sent to us. Everything was problem-free and the wines were top quality at affordable, fair prices. Our favorite is the Pinot Gris. Simply heavenly

Rebecca Seelos - A full soul human beingEven King Ludwig I recognized that up here, on the border between forest and vineyards above Rhodt, the sun likes to take a longer break. In 1848 he built his Villa Ludwigshöhe in this sunny location. In the shadow of Villa Ludwigshöhe, winemaker Rebecca Seelos strolls through her vineyards with her father Peter, almost empathically. She takes the vines in her hands almost compassionately and looks very conscientiously over their health. Especially in times of climate change, they need a lot of attention and care.At the entrance to the famous Theresienstrasse in Rhodt, completely unspectacular, but still extraordinary, I met the Seelos family and their characterful wines in a very warm and yet very humble manner. Particularly striking is the sunny disposition of Rebecca Seelos, who creates her craft with a nice dose of passion, stylish yet experimental. For Rebecca, natural viticulture means above all increased attention in the vineyard and empathy towards her vines and the surrounding natural contexts. Together with her father, she very conscientiously promotes soil vitality and biodiversity and creates a real, deep relationship between herself, her vines and, of course, the soil. Ultimately, this is the essential basis for healthy, aromatic grapes that combine the expression of their individual origins and later carry this into the glass and into all of our senses.Clear! Rebecca Seelos is in love with so many details but also absolutely and oh-so fondly with her lively, friendly family clan. Satisfied… yes she is. Although it is now time for her to design new rooms in the winery and finally... be able to present her wines in a charming, lovely wine shop.Rebecca sees her work in the vineyard as a pure and sensitive craft. Through timely yield reduction and finely selective hand-picking, it is almost perfectly possible to harvest the best from the vineyards. It shows that great wines are not made in the cellar, but in the vineyard. In the cellar, the family team only keeps what was created in the vineyard.By the way, the “Hainfelder Riesling Alte Rebe” is pleasing in the glass. Just one sip fills the palate so powerfully and sustainably that I look at the bright blue sky with great satisfaction and gratitude. Not a cloud up there and nothing disturbing in the glass. A magnificent interplay of fruits ensnares the nose: juicy, fine fruit with hints of apricot and vineyard peach, plus a delicate nuance of fresh lime. On the palate there is a fine interplay of sweetness and acidity with a fresh, subtle saltiness in the finish. Respect! An exceptional and sensual Riesling.Rebecca's wines are fine, round and very delicate. Strong in character and far away from the mainstream. Unique and with a lot of history. Like the winemaker. It becomes clear...Rebecca's wines have personality, are stylish and, like Rebecca, quite self-confident. The developed textures are convincing and ensure a clear and fine drinking pleasure, not just on the palate.

A winery as a very friendly family business with good wines and moderate prices. Great central location in the heart of Rhodt. Therefore, the in-house accommodations are also highly recommended.

I had ordered a spritzer 0.5 with a good Saint Laurent. The quarter costs 4.50. The lady then actually charges me 9 euros, the price for half a liter of wine. When I asked, she explained to me that it was normal, that the sparkling water was more expensive for the winemaker than the wine. When I asked further whether the quarter of sparkling water would cost 4.50, she couldn't think of anything else. 0.0 Accommodation. I've never reviewed it like this before, but this is a complete rip-off. Never again

For years we have enjoyed coming to wine tastings and filling up our wine cellar. Thank you, dear Peter, that you and your family make such good wine.

Sauerkraut with liver dumplings the best ever - the apple tarte flambée too! The two wines we tried were also wonderful - and at really reasonable prices. What more could you want?

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience with this winery last weekend. A few months ago I wrote a request to book an overnight stay in the winery's guest room. This message was not answered. So a few days later I made contact via Instagram. The contact was then very friendly and the person who wrote to me immediately apologized, said that the email had been lost and that she would respond to me again by email. The email immediately arrived in my inbox asking whether I should reserve a night in the guest room for the desired date. I was happy to answer the message and confirm the reservation. So for me the matter was settled. About 2 weeks before our overnight stay, I wrote another email asking whether it was possible to add a wine tasting to the overnight stay. No answer. A few days later my partner tried again, by phone. Left a voicemail. No call back. We then started thinking about whether our room reservation even went through. But I just couldn't imagine that if one email had already slipped through, another email could slip through. My partner also left a voice message. They could have called us back afterwards at the latest. That's what we thought. Wrong thought. What would become clear later. So last week we drove to the winery (1.5 hour drive), as we had been planning for months, only to be told very unprofessionally that they didn't have a free room for us. My partner and I were simply speechless, canceled our planned short trip and went home disappointed. We then tried to contact the winery again by phone. Unfortunately we couldn't reach anyone again. Unfortunately, this is all very disappointing. The management of the guest rooms should definitely be optimized and also the communication with the guests.
