A wonderful place for lodging with the Family. One can also spend a peaceful day here. It has a lot of space for playing. So much FUN! The spectacular view and natures silence is a welcome for anyone seeking to take a holiday. One can take a bicycle tour on the lonely road. The kids were excited to see Horses grazing.

Very friendly and nice people. Ideal farm for a holiday with children. Our grandchild had a lot of fun (and so did we) feeding animals and collecting eggs in the morning with Mr. Sönnecken. Baking waffles with pony rides and a covered wagon ride with a tractor were a nice change. We'd love to come back.

We will definitely come back, it was great here, very relaxing and the children had a great time. The highlight was the pony riding with the most beautiful views and feeding the animals in the morning. Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

Really nice yard. Lots of space and excitement for the kids. We are big fans of the Kettcars!!!The yard has a great view. Coffee in the morning in the sun is pure enjoyment!There's probably nothing to complain about in the holiday apartments either. Simply great for everyone of all ages!Anyone who comes must definitely say hello to the three pigs Wolfgang Amadeus and Mozart!

The farm is beautifully located, secluded in the middle of green nature. Mr. Sönnecken is very friendly and takes care of his guests. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. On the one hand, a bucket of fresh paint on the wall every now and then doesn't hurt. Furthermore, it was a bit dingy. Dirt on the window sills. Thick dust in the corners. Under the beds in the children's room: dirt. We were aware that it is a farm and you cannot expect clinical purity there. We don't want that at all. But basic cleanliness is a prerequisite for us. We also know this from our holidays in Bavaria (also on a farm). But perhaps we are expecting too much. The area around Werdohl didn't particularly appeal to us either. Nature is beautiful, but not more beautiful than here in the Eifel. The places, on the other hand, are more like industrial cities in the Ruhr area. Maybe that's because of the proximity to it. If you are looking for real beauty in the Sauerland, you have to head towards Schmallenberg/Winterberg.

Ideal place for a farm holiday with children. Weather-independent leisure activities for young and old and lots of nature. Very nice.

This is how a holiday on the farm should be. An old half-timbered farm, animals and enthusiastic farmer and farmer's wife. Very beautifully situated in a valley on top of a mountain. Pitch black and quiet at night. Beautiful surroundings, many small museums in the field of iron and steel. Enthusiastic former employees who like to talk about their profession. Open-air museum nearby which you must see.Our children often talk about it and we might even go there ourselves.

Our expectations were different 😕 It was definitely a nice homestead. Now everything is a bit loveless, run down. Thought about getting eggs and milk. There was nothing...Riding is only possible to a limited extent for the granddaughter. Animals ??? Where were the cattle?So not recommended

This is a lovingly run family-run holiday farm.The farm, which has been owned by the Sönnecken family for 500 years, was originally run as a livestock and agricultural business. Now mainly used as a holiday farm with a small number of animals.Here, city children can marvel at cows and horses, pigs, sheep, chickens and sheep up close.The children can move around the area without danger and play equipment and a sandpit for the little ones are available.The holiday apartments of different sizes are equipped with every comfort and offer everything that is desirable for a comfortable stay in the country.Located in a secluded location on the heights between Werdohl and Altena, holidaymakers have a breathtaking view in absolute silence. A rare phenomenon these days.Nevertheless, well connected to the cities of Werdohl and Altena, as well as Lüdenscheid, which can each be reached in 10 minutes by car.Definitely recommended for families with children, but also for people looking for peace and quiet. The extensive, natural forest invites you to take long walks.Conclusion: always worth a trip. A local recreation destination of a special class!
