We have been here at the campsite for a few days now. Reception friendly, fields beautiful and large. Sanitary building is very nice, but it's a shame that the cleaning lady walks/sits more than cleaning. If you are here for a few days you will notice that there is very little cleaning done🙄. And that's why I think the price is appropriate. The big advantage is that you can walk straight into the village of Meppen. After 3 days I indicated at reception that there was little or no cleaning. But she had just checked it, she said. I told her to do whatever she wanted with it, but I don't think it's clean. A bit of a shame for such a beautiful sanitary building.

Very clean and new sanitary facilities and good location to the city center. One star for each.Very loud in the streets all around, and nothing else to offer. But extremely expensive. But ok for a short overnight stay on the way through. If you still want to make the children happy, the bathroom right next door is very cheap and good.

The place is very centrally located between traffic roads and the water and is therefore not quiet!Unfortunately the toilets were not cleaned properly on Sundays. Friday and Saturday but good.Friendly reception.Decent laundry room, shower and sanitary facilities, although in the high season the men and women only had three showers to use, although there are more available. For a designated five-star place in this price category, we have to say: there is still a lot of room for improvement.

I rented a mobile home for a week.It was well equipped with all the comforts you could expect, clean and the view of the Ems from the veranda was very nice. What's perfect, of course, is that you can be in the center of Meppen in five minutes on foot and there is a leisure pool next to the park.

We actually only booked the place for a stopover. Because we liked it so much, we rebooked twice. The square is within walking distance of the lively city center. The traffic noise during the day hardly bothered us, at night it was quiet. The parking spaces are large and easy to get to. They are equipped with electricity, water and sewage connection. For the latter, however, a motorhome needs a longer hose. Here the operator should think about a central gray water disposal for motorhomes, especially since most of the guests occupied the space with motorhomes. There is a vending machine station for toilet disposal for a current fee of 3 euros. There is also a free disposal facility. The sanitary facilities are great and have always been tip top.We found the large showers particularly pleasant.Getting to the site is less pleasant! You are slowed down by a barrier system, have to leave your vehicle and catch a glimpse of the banner of the reception building in the circular view. However, this is unfortunately behind a dike so that you only reach registration after a long walk. This means that the entrance is blocked for a longer period of time and guests who have already checked in cannot drive onto the site. The ash space in front of the barrier does not allow parking in the entire area.So overall an unfortunate situation. The solution might be an intercom system with the barrier being opened by the reception staff.Otherwise we really liked the place and would like to come back.

Located on the Ems, nice staff. Toilet emptying available. Fresh water available. Toilets, showers, kitchen, washing machines are all very good. Very big disadvantage is the location between three streets. It is extremely loud. You have to like that. The price for a car for two people is just under 50 euros. Too expensive.

The conclusion in advance = really great here and gladly again!Actually "just" a spacious, open meadow area... but with a few large old trees located directly on the Ems. Spacious pitches with lots of space and space. Plus there are water taps everywhere! Top sanitary building (including kitchen with ceramic stove), really nice staff at the reception. And it's really cozy here. When you arrive, your first thought might be "oh, how simple is this... and this is a 5 star place?" But wrong, because less is more. And even if it's not exactly cheap (as is usual with Knaus-Camping), it's worth it!And then there is this perfect location. Just sit comfortably in front of the motorhome on the Ems and you're just a 5-minute walk from the beautiful little old town. Perfect ! Because of this great location, you can't complain about the street noise. What do you want to expect? In the middle, but please total silence? It's definitely quiet at night. So everything is fine. The only tiny drawback is that there is no bread roll service. Yes, of course, it's a 5-minute walk to the bakery, but you just have to prepare yourself differently in the morning, whether you're going to the reception or into town *grin. Conclusion repeat = great cozy place, nice staff, great sanitary building, a bit expensive but worth the money. And a really nice little town!! It's worth it
