Extremely pushy and unfriendly business owner who lives far away from reality and really thinks that he can buy things/products just for the sake of letting you stay in his "oh so great" hotel. The other reviews speak volumes, but what he delivers here is absolutely awesome.Don't even want to know how to deal with customers when he can't take no for an answer even though he wants something from someone else. The hotel has a nice location, but so do others in the region.

The hotel is okay for 1 night if you don't have high expectations. I would never plan a longer vacation here, only if you are passing through. The hotel is in a good location. However, the parking situation on site was limited when we arrived as there were pallets of logs in the parking spaces. The owner is very friendly, nice and customer-oriented. She does a great job and is very personable. The rooms per se are clean... However, you have to struggle with flies that come in. At night there was a constant smell of smoke in the bathroom. Or did it come from outside? In any case, the rooms are not tight and are very noisy. The beds themselves are okay. The mattresses are hard, the pillows extremely soft. So soft that when you lie down on it there's nothing left of it. The bathroom is an absolute disaster. It's impressive to see that you can fit a shower, a toilet and a sink in 1 square meter. Ancient mixer tap in the shower (not for people with claustrophobia) so you are spoiled for choice between an ice or lobster shower. To get into the shower, a shoehorn and/or a bottle of oil wouldn't be a bad idea, as the entrance here is also very narrow due to the overall situation (kitchen bathroom). The toilet is close to the shower and you basically have to back into the corner. Wiping yourself here is pure acrobatics. By the way, the shower itself is leaking (beware of flooding...) and the water continues to drip even though the taps are closed. The breakfast, however, is good. It is equipped with cornflakes, muesli, yoghurt and scrambled eggs as well as a small selection of sausages, spreads and cheese. Plus juice, tea and filter coffee. Handsome. Yummy. OK.Unfortunately for us it will be a one-off visit.

The rooms were not cleaned, apparently for Corona reasons, the spa cards were not issued to us individually for everyone, it was probably too much work. Very hectic, unfriendly host to deal with. …

I spent 4 days in the stars with my girlfriend in February. We felt really comfortable there. This is a lovingly run family business, not a standard hotel. …

We wanted to spend the weekend in Freiburg. Since we wanted a hotel very late, we chose this hotel because others were already fully booked. …

The house is old, dark and very noisy. When checking in from 1500, the entire price for the booked stay must be paid in advance. …

I was there recently with my family and am still thrilled by the lovingly furnished rooms. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of love and work into small details. The staff is very child-friendly, so even the little ones feel very comfortable. We would love to come back to enjoy the snow, the mountains and Freiburg. Many greetings from the Klemens family

One star for the very good breakfast and the nice wife of the hotel owner.Owner and cook quite unfriendly. As guests, we had the feeling that we were just a burden on the owner - and that at 134 euros per night in the high season!WiFi only works in the hallway on the 1st floor and nowhere else, and it's extremely slow. The TV in the room is 3m high and is mounted in the corner so that you can't watch TV at all because you have to sit on the windowsill.
