The first accommodation on our 3-day bike tour over the Rennsteig couldn't have been better. Very, very pleasant, friendly host couple, delicious food and good "expert" entertainment in the evening made the first day on the Rennsteig perfect. The wet shoes went into the boiler room, but there were warm felt slippers, and the bikes were also safe and dry. Beautiful, perfectly suited rooms and a rich breakfast. We felt very comfortable. Thanks for everything from the 5 “men” from the Erzgebirge

Went on a motorcycle tour in the Thuringian Forest. You felt very comfortable here from the start. You can tell that the hosts put a lot of effort into making their guests' stay as pleasant as possible. Simply class. We were even able to park our bikes under the private carport. Everything just fell into place. Thanks for the nice weekend. E. Sparwald

A house with tradition and a landlady who does credit to Thuringian hospitality! We felt very comfortable. We gratefully accepted a foot bath after a long hike. You can feel that you like your guests!

I will have special memories of spending the night in this guesthouse - because of the warmth and hospitality that I experienced here. The house was renovated during the Corona period. The guest rooms are nicely furnished, colorful bed linen spices up the ambience. There is a sink. The shared bathroom is clean, spacious and (at least on the 3rd floor) very well equipped: shower bath, shampoo, toothpaste, cream for battered hiker's feet, perfume. There was a minibar with a trustworthy cash register on the floor. Fridge with soft drinks and beer and cappucino powder, tea bags and kettle. For dinner - despite the day being closed - I had the normal menu to choose from. Ms. Dirschauer freshly prepared my vegetable patties with herb quark and salad. They were very, very tasty. After dinner she even made me coffee. The breakfast was - although there were only 2 guests in the guesthouse - extensive with rolls, bread, sausage, cheese, boiled eggs, juices, yoghurt, fruit, various sweet spreads and a pot of delicious, probably homemade jam on the table. The coffee was good.I can highly recommend this guesthouse to all Rennsteig hikers.

Hospitality is very important here. The dinner was freshly cooked and was very tasty. There was also time for a nice conversation in between. Our room was well thought out and we felt comfortable. There was even a tea/coffee station. However, it's a shame that it's so close to the road, because you couldn't miss the trucks.

Another great accommodation on the Rennsteig. We were able to relax here after our Rennsteig stage. Food 😋. The crowning glory was a foot bath. A real blessing after a long hike. 👍We were able to stock up on provisions for the next stage of the hike in the morning without any problems.

After a long day, we arrived relatively late and were completely exhausted, but still received a very warm welcome! We slept well and had a very tasty breakfast including tips for the onward journey. This is how I imagine hospitality. Thanks again and keep it up!

Simply perfect! After a long run of over 80 km, I arrived hungry and wet. The owner made a delicious dinner, dried the running shoes overnight and then prepared breakfast even earlier in the morning so that I could continue running in time. Thank you again for everything!
