We drove to this place to attend a Wendt&Kühn event. This “hostel” via Booking Com was the only one available six months before the date. Offered with breakfast - canceled because it wasn't.The accommodation is located in a house from the end of the 19th century. , built for people with an average height of 1.60 m. The floorboards creak throughout the house, the decoration is worthy of any flea market. There are definitely fans of it, but we weren't.In addition, there was no restaurant within a 15km radius for a decent dinner.Kudos to the local bakery, where we had a delicious breakfast. However, the guesthouse, historical ambience or not, still ranks behind a youth hostel.

The name says it all, in this house you immerse yourself deeply in the 19th century - like in a museum. We were already expected and warmly welcomed by Maria, an employee who lives in the house. The apartments are spread over 3 floors and each one is different (we had 3 of 4), see below. There is also a larger room with a kitchen on the ground floor, which we were allowed to use for breakfast. The house is located on a fairly steep mountain, almost everything in town is at the top. There are 3 parking spaces available at the house, although we had to park ourselves in a box and the ivy had already taken over the car in one night ;-)The apartment on the ground floor is the coolest, this is due to the nature of the house, which was renovated with a sense of proportion but has the same energy standard as when it was built. It gets warmer towards the top. This apartment below has a comfortable sofa set, doors everywhere in the rooms, the refrigerator has a freezer compartment, and the kitchenette does not have a dishwasher. The apartment on the first floor is the most modern: large kitchen with dishwasher, the refrigerator has no freezer compartment, a stylish bathroom (unfortunately without any possibility to hang anything, even the toilet paper is just there), the couch is an eye-catcher. The bedroom with a narrow double bed is a connecting room and all rooms are open except the bathroom. The apartment under the attic is the simplest in terms of bathroom and kitchen but is enough for a short stay. Here too everything is open and quite low, anyone who doesn't think of it will be reminded by the beam running across the room at the head.We laughed in amazement at the electrical system in the house.Overall, everything was lovingly furnished and decorated, so many furniture and objects that reminded us of our great-grandma, great!

A little hidden, but a great place to stay. Very rustic and with a lot of flair. You feel like you've been transported back in time and yet the rooms are tastefully and modernly furnished.

A beautiful holiday home with very lovingly designed rooms. The landlady invested a lot of love and energy in the design of the house. The house is located directly on the Flöhatal cycle path and is therefore ideal for excursions by bike or on foot.
