We were guests at the Reifnhof for a week in August 2023 with our two children.Unfortunately I can hardly say anything positive. The location is positive because you can easily reach Lake Simssee, a few kilometers away, by car.Our apartment was quite well equipped and quite modern. The most negative thing is the very unfriendly manner on the farm. Everything was getting really old, so we didn't want to let our children play on the playground without supervision. The only place where you could have breakfast outdoors is right next to the manure pit and another manure tank with very smelly contents (cow dung wouldn't bother me in any way - I'm on the farm specifically)Another negative thing is that everything costs extra. This means that children can play with old defective equipment (pedal tractor without pedals and sharp edges) for free. Renting an intact pedal tractor would have cost a fairly high daily fee. At the same time, it bothers me that there are prohibition signs threatening fines almost everywhere. The playground has a number of damages that were repaired in a makeshift manner (and in some cases increased the danger). In the morning a thick and acrid smoke and a cloud of ash drifted into our room, covering us and everything in a pitch-black layer. When I asked the hosts about this, I was simply threatened with additional costs if we didn't leave the guest apartment cleaned. The cause was the wood chipping system, whose chimney was installed directly next to the roof windows.None of the host families who were at the Reifnhof at the same time took full advantage of the booked travel duration. Everyone, including us, left between one and three days early because the conditions made a vacation difficult. The hosts are hard to reach. Also on my personal negative list is the keeping of the cows: on the Reifnhof, tethering, i.e. fixing the cow to a neck sling, is still the standard. However, from a purely objective point of view, it must be said that this form of husbandry is still widespread throughout Bavaria. To the great disappointment of all family members, we left early and will definitely not be coming back to the Reifnhof. The pictures are from August 2023.I waited an extra three months before writing this review in order to block out negative emotions. However, I can't say much positive things.

Two wonderful weeks with children and grandchildren on the farmThe apartments are well equipped, including toys and - on request - equipment for small children. If you miss something, you can contact the hostess at any time.Eggs and milk are available on the farm. It's especially great for children to "help" with cows, chickens, rabbits and sheep. You can also run around in the playground or ride a children's tractor. You (young and old) can also take advantage of the hostess’ creative offerings. The children enthusiastically painted the football cups and received the court diploma with pride. The hosts responded very well to our questions and the children's wishes and gave us all an insight into farm work. So it was a completely successful vacation.

The Reifnhof is absolutely recommended. The children are welcome, the apartments are very clean and the hosts are extremely warm, friendly and very service-oriented. The children always find someone and something to play on the farm. The farmer's wife does crafts with the children every evening and the farmer answers all questions about animals and the farm. The area is ideal for excursions and the nearby lake is ideal for swimming. A perfect place for a great vacation.

We stayed in a shepherd's hut for a short vacation with two children and felt very comfortable! The hosts are very warm and helpful, the hut is very cozy! The children felt very comfortable on the farm and wanted to find out a lot about the farm and the animals. Farmer Sepp patiently answered our questions. You can hike and swim very nicely up to the Simssee.Thank you!!

We spent 5 days at the Reifnhof in our motorhome and really enjoyed the time. The parking space is right next to the sheep pasture on a gravel area. Our children watched the sheep from the window of our camper in the morning and were excited about the day on the farm. The farm offers many opportunities for children, from the playground, the many vehicles, feeding and petting the animals to taking a tractor ride with farmer Sepp. For our son, feeding the cows in the evening was the highlight. There are extra shovels, wheelbarrows, etc. available for the children to help them in the stable. Since the farm is quiet and surrounded by meadows, our children were able to move freely during their stay. The toilets and showers were always clean. The bathroom sinks can be used to wash up. However, a separate washing-up facility should be created soon.A craft program is also offered in the afternoon, which can be attended for a small additional fee. However, we only used this once as we were cycling around Lake Simssee most days at the time.Delicious rolls can be ordered for breakfast the day before and in the evening you can grill or light a fire in the fire bowl.Washing machine and drying are also available. We felt very comfortable at the Reifnhof and can definitely recommend it for motorhomes.

Our preschool children learned a lot about life on the farm and were able to actively participate in one or another activity. The hosts were very friendly and flexible. The farm is beautifully situated on a slope. If you walk for a while you have a very nice view of the Simssee in the west or of the Chiemsee in the east.

A great experience for all children. Children can feed cows, rabbits, guinea pigs and sheep. The holiday apartment (apple tree) is very nice and comfortably furnished with a lot of love. Everything was clean and well maintained. The Stein family is very nice and friendly and takes care of all guests and all concerns. A clear recommendation from us for families with children.

Very friendly hosts, nice location close to Lake Sims, which can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes and offers a nice swimming area. But: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the shared showers/toilets for users of the caravans/mobile parking spaces is not as good as one would like - much more emphasis should be placed on regular cleaning here. It would also have been great if the normal sink in the bathroom wasn't the only option for washing up. Therefore it is only suitable to a limited extent for a holiday with a caravan.

Great farm, lots of animals, you can take part and watch everywhere. Very nice farming family! A farmer's wife who really comes up with something special for the children. Everything was beautifully laid out, great play equipment for the children - highly recommended! We liked it a lot, we were there in a caravan, but there are also very comfortable shepherd's wagons or holiday apartments. Zacher family.
