We are a lively family with children between three and eleven years old. We got our money's worth on the farm: the children had lots of friends with the sheep, goats, chickens and calves, the pony and the donkey, the rabbits and two dogs. Everyone was able to contribute individually. The time with the animals framed the day's activities well. The holiday apartment is cozy, well maintained and well equipped. The farmers are open, warm and took good care of us. Thank you for the great time!

Basically a nice farm with some options for the children. But as other reviewers have already reported, Ms. Sallach was also very aggressive during our vacation and attracted absolutely negative attention with her 'bossy' and decisive demeanor. She wanted to tell us how we should deal with our children's dirty laundry (if possible, not wash it, even though our two youngest children had unfortunately 'run out' - in the end Ms. Sallach charged €15 for two machines of laundry!!) and told us Her meticulous house rules (waste separation, shoe order in the yard, cutlery order, etc.) were always pointed out with a commanding, completely inappropriate tone. Her husband Mr. Unfortunately, Sallach also had to put up with some of her statements during that time. He too was bullied by his wife with an inappropriate commanding tone. It's a shame because Mr. Sallach does a 'good job' when it comes to looking after his guests on the farm and tries very hard.

We were guests on the Sallach family farm for 10 days and had a really nice holiday. The holiday apartment was clean and tidy and our children really enjoyed being able to help out in the stable every day. They enjoyed feeding the lambs, calves, rabbits, chickens and goats, collecting the eggs, watching the cows being milked and playing with the really lovely dog Lulu.Mr. and Mrs. Sallach were very open-minded and friendly and we have never been to a farm where the animals have such a wonderful life as the Sallach family. We would like to come again!

We really enjoyed our holiday at Ferienhof Sallach. We were in a mouse's nest and the apartment was equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is perfect for self-catering. In addition to a stove, oven and microwave, there is also a large dishwasher. The WiFi reception in the living and dining area works without any problems. Our two children had a lot of fun on the farm. They were allowed to help out a lot and when we came back a little later from an excursion, Ms. Sallach even waited for the two of them. In addition to hunting for eggs and feeding chickens, the rabbits were looked after, calves and sheep were given milk and, last but not least, Frisbee was played with the farm dog. There was also a table tennis table, bicycles, a sandpit and go-karts in the yard for the children to have fun with. Thanks to the central camp on the Eiderstedt peninsula, you could reach many excursion destinations relatively quickly (St. Peter Ording, Multimar Tönning, Westerhever lighthouse and many others). We liked it and we can't say anything negative.

++++Great summer vacation despite mixed weather++++Mr. and Mrs. Sallach are great hosts! They explain, get involved, provide jam, eggs, juice, strawberries, give tips, ask about well-being, have bicycles and other pedal equipment in all sizes and provide clean apartments and an exciting yard for adults and especially children. Of course, our girls liked the two incredibly sweet farm dogs Lulu and Melli the most, the chilled goat Pete and of course the love-needy pony Bonnie and the donkey Clyde. In addition, the Strohberg with a long swing rope is great fun for everyone. Even though the dairy farm has stopped, it hasn't become boring. Calves are still there to be fed and in the pastures you can help count cows or round up sheep. And every evening you can feed everything that moos, mows and beeps together. Many excursion destinations and places can be reached quickly. Above all, the Multimar Wattforum with a lot to see and touch for the little ones, a great whale exhibition and a large playground and otter area outside is a must for at least one day trip. Sankt-Peter-Ording in the immediate vicinity is a super wide beach with nice waves and plenty of space for smaller children to splash around and build sandcastles. The spacious parking facilities directly on the beach save you an incredibly long time of dragging and walking.Unfortunately, we were mostly unlucky with the catering for our activities because we were sick, on holiday, on a day off or busy and then we usually had to make do with fish and chips. Better planning in advance for some variety seems advisable.Oh well: the canal cruise in Friedrichstadt in rainy weather is not recommended. You see and hear little at almost 50 EUR for a family of 4 for 1 hour drive. But if the weather is good it should be quite nice.So much for our impressions as a family who have already spent a few farm holidays in southern and northern Germany. In any case, this one was at the top!

The apartment was clean and tidy. The children were allowed to help on the farm. The farmer was very friendly. However, the farmer's wife's aggression was more than outrageous. She would like to tell her guests how to heat and use electricity very economically. Garbage is also checked. Only after a lengthy discussion were the radiators turned on. The last two evenings they were switched off again. So we had to heat the bathroom with the hairdryer so that our three-year-old son wouldn't freeze. Every step onto the farm is closely monitored by the farmer's wife. When we left, my husband was also informed that we had set the refrigerator much too cold and that the guests would also have to save money. I was also told that my son's wet pants could not be dried in the apartment. That's why she doesn't heat the apartment. We have been to many farms on the North Sea but we have never encountered such an attack. Once and never again.

A very nice vacationWe were guests of the Sallach family in North Frisia. The farm is run economically and ecologically and this is something that is valued and they are proud of it. Our three children (3,5,10 years) all got their money's worth. From driving the tractor to feeding the chickens and calves, everything was very child-friendly and appreciative. Establishing contact via email was difficult (not the internet generation). The farm is close to Sankt Peter Ording and the Eiderspeerwerk is only 8 km away.

Hay caveThe apartment was extremely clean and tidy, the rooms were comfortably furnished, even with a changing table in the children's room and the bathroom, although without a window, was very clean. The apartment is directly above the back entrance. From the kitchen you can see the cowshed and the parking spaces. All windows have fly screens. The children were allowed to move around the area completely freely, pet everything from dogs to cows that kept still and were allowed to take part in all activities of daily farm life. So much for the positive experiences. What really bothered me and us was the daily interference, judgment and condemnation of our daily routine and personal affairs. On the day of arrival (after over 9 hours of driving in traffic jams and heat without air conditioning) we received unnecessary comments about our ready-made pizza, which was supposed to be our dinner. Honestly, who wants to put in a lot of effort after a trip like that with 2 small children? And what does it matter to anyone when and what we eat???The fact that our children both wanted to sleep together in the same room (5 years and 14 months) was also an occasion for us as parents to justify ourselves. Since they both sleep together at home, there was no reason for us to handle things differently on vacation. So here too an unnecessary discussion.Waste separation is very important on the farm, which I think is great. However, it is also incomprehensible to me that they took apart the rubbish of the neighboring family who were also holidaying there in the rubbish bin and fussed over a coffee filter and burdened them with an unnecessary discussion. In the guest book of the apartment there were probably a few families who felt so comfortable there that they spent several vacations there, but that is DEFINITELY not an option for us. The constant chatter constantly annoyed me and my husband. And the sentence “it’s none of my business, but” was always the start of another wasted half hour. I want a vacation, but I don't want advice about my lifestyle or raising children. There is also not a single secured socket in the apartment. Bread service is offered, but only on Saturdays. And you can be sure that every step is being watched.
