It was the first day of being a Virgin Hotel so was a little quiet and not so much of the vibe I'd expected or seen when it was in previous incarnation.  …

Heads Up: from what we were told the hotel was recently sold to Virgin…so let’s see if anything changes next month when it changes hands. …

Faultless stay on a Sunday night taking advantage of their special deal which was a night's stay including breakfast, late check out to 1pm and free upgrade to the next level room. …

This is more of 3.5 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star hotel. Apart from the folks in the rooftop restaurant and the downstairs restaurant, the service is sorely lacking. For starters on check in I had booked a room that came with breakfast, $100 credit, room upgrade and late checkout based on availability. The front desk merely asked me for my passport and got keys and wanted to send me on my merry way without a mention of any of the above options, upon inquiry he was then like oh yeah it’s included breakfast is at the terrace. Then I had to inquire about the credit to see what’s covered and same with checkout - they could accommodate an extra hour. Additionally aside from the 2 bottles of water upon check in no additional water was provided for 3 days. Small things like using the provided cotton buds and yet no one replaced it despite seeing the vanity kit was open. The safe was also broken and they kept Lying about how long it would take someone to get up there to fix it leading to me missing my train and having to postpone that event to the next day. When the person did arrive they were somehow told the door was broken and he was attempting To fix that. Overall, the bed is comfortable and location convenient. Breakfast tastes good but extremely limited and gets old VERY quick. A/C could be cooler but will take any A/C in UK. They have a lot of potential but definitely need to train their staff better and would recommend broadening breakfast menu.

We had some issues with the Edinburgh hotel. So we were offered a night with breakfast here. I want to thank management for putting things right. …

From the entrance to the roof it was nothing less than amazing! The staff that greeted us to the waiter that made sure we were happy with our food and drinks. The room was always perfect when we got back from doing all our walking! We loved this hotel!!

The hotel itself was spotless, with beautifully designed rooms that offered both comfort and style. The location couldn’t have been more perfect—within walking distance to all the major attractions. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient experience in London!"

3rd time back, excellent customer service, above and beyond!!! Fun ambience, lovely rooftop pool. A good breakfast but I would book without and then choose from the regular menu. Comfortable bed and great steam shower. Highly recommend!!!!! Kudos to an excellent team and especially Heiko for his personal touch...

The hotel room was nice, although I was given an accessible room despite not booking one. This meant the shower didn’t have a tray and the room was soaking after a shower, there was a shower curtain rather than screen and the sink/mirror/toilet roll was all so low. All ideal for someone who needs those things, but I didn’t pay premium price for a room that wasn’t suitable.I stayed two nights and on the second there was a lot of loud music. I called reception and asked about a club nearby and was told there wasn’t any club or similar nearby. This is a blatant lie, there’s literally a club in the building that’s advertised on the website. I called twice reporting the noise and that it was keeping me up but nothing was done because ‘they couldn’t hear it’. I had to put my own white noise on to get to sleep.Upon checking out the door wasn’t rotating and the receptionist looked down on me and said ‘you have to push it’ despite it being an automatic door. All small occurrences but for a premium hotel I expected more. I have a lot more London visits coming up, and I feel reluctant to book this hotel again, despite being a two minute walk to the office, for fear of the same situation arising again.
