Was very surprised, how good it was for the price, very friendly staff, cheap beer/drinks ,basic room, clean and spacious, with en suite showroom/toilet. Good location. Very much like most seaside Victorian Hotels.... reminds of Fawlty Towers. Can't complain, would definitely consider staying again

Stayed for a theme weekend. Whilst a little dated the hotel make sup for it in other ways. You can't fault the staff and generally the facilities were good. Food, a buffet selection was very nice.  …

Like the previous reviews I could not believe the inside of the building. It was very shabby. Compares well with two star hotels. No wi-fi !!! You had to pay for the wi-fi is you wanted anything but calls and messages.  …

I will always remember the time I spent at this amazing place. Carrington feels more like a home than a hotel. …

This hotel is very dated and needs refurbishing. The furniture in the bedroom was old, scratched and broken and the mattress had springs coming out the sides. The hotel provided no maid service so for our entire week's stay, there was never any bed linen changed or clean towels given. The rooms are unbearably hot, there is no air conditioning. Food wise the breakfast buffet is good with continental band hot cooked breakfast.Dinner however was abysmal. Very cheap food, badly cooked and often cold. Even chips straight from the kitchen were lukewarm. On a few nights it was inedible. The hotel is however spotlessly clean in the public areas and the entertainment was very good. The hotel is ideally situated in Boscombe and is just a short walk to Boscombe Chine gardens and from there to the beach. The hotel is not good value for money.

For the price it's okay I guess. The staff were friendly. But the hotel itself is run down, old rooms, carpets everywhere, the room gets really hot , there's no Aircon, just a small fan. 3 plug sockets in a room for 2 , bit ridiculous. Feel like we stayed in a very old , not cared for room from 70s.Good location tho.Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Not worth £89 for a night. 20/07/2024 - 21/07/2024My husband booked here because of the indoor pool. Pool has limited time and need to check-in at the reception to get access to the pool. It was quite tiny. A group of 10 would make it seem crowded already.Quite a walk going to the beach(15min) and town centre(30min)Good side is there's a free street parking as hotel parking is quite small too.See photos of what we found inside the room.We went there on a cloudy-rainy day. The room was suffocating hot even with the window wide open and fan on number 3.Pillows weren't comfortable. It was so firm and bulky. Doesn't hug your head when rested on it.Bed was creaking and cracking with every movement.Flow curtain was covered with dust at the top part.Shampoo/soap dispenser was broken.Teaspoon and mug wasn't cleaned? Or teaspoon was just rusty?Check-in is strictly 3pm.Receptionists were not friendly. But atleast we enjoyed the entertainment from 8pm-10pm. Not sure if it's a regular thing though.

We stayed here two nights. The room was okay. The beds weren't bad. They were just a bit too hard for me and pillows, too. Also, the room was clean, but because it was on the 3rd floor, it was very, very hot, our baby was sweating all night and us too. We couldn't open the window as there were some restrictions, although we had a fan but didn't help much. They have a bathtub in the bathroom, a bar downstairs and a nice pool with warm water, and it is a nice walk 20min to the beach through nice park.
