I honestly loved everything about the hotel. It was relatively quite cheap so I didn’t have huge expectations but when I got to the hotel I was greeted by a lovely receptionist (sorry, I didn’t get your name haha). He was super friendly and upgraded our room from a double. He let us check in an hour before we were supposed to and it was super easy to do. Felt really safe and cozy. Everything was so clean and well stocked. The area around was really nice and quiet too.

We have stayed at number 1 craven hill gardens a few times now and will continue too in the future. It is a modern and clean town house hotel with a short walk to bars and restaurants, train stations, bus stops and winter wonderland! This year we met Chaker and he made our stay extra comfortable! He was very welcoming and professional and took care of us very well. We looked forward to our chats in the morning and evening! We will definitely be back soon.

Demanded £100 cash as no credit card and not allowed to make phone call (on own phone) or to leaveI booked this hotel through our travel provider for a female colleague travelling alone to London for work. When she arrived the male receptionist demanded a credit card and her ID for "security". She did not have a credit card so he said she had to give him £100 cash which she also didn't have.Initially he would not allow her to make a phone call or leave and several requests later she was permitted leave and then she called me. I asked if I could leave my company credit card details with them as it was booked through the company and our travel provider and he declined. I later found that this was a relief to her as she did not feel safe and did not want to be staying there after his intimidating behaviour.I booked her in to the nearest Premiere Inn, who were friendly, welcoming and did not require her ID, credit card details or demand cash with menaces, where she felt much safer. The whole experience was extremely unpleasant and having read through the reviews I see that there is a common theme with female travellers and poor customer service at this hotel - please see the 72 other 1 star reviews on Google and Trip Advisor for referenceI personally feel that I have let her down by booking her into this awful hotel in the first place and as someone who books hotels for business across the country daily this is the first time I have ever had a colleague experience this.I'm writing this review in the hope that it will avoid anyone else having to deal with this hotel. I should have read the reviews firstFor clarity - The Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 The Provision of information by visitors4.—(1) Every person of or over the age of 16 years who stays at any premises to which this Order applies shall, on arriving at the premises, inform the keeper of the premises of his full name and nationality.(2) Every such person who is an alien shall also—(a)on arriving at the premises, inform the keeper of the premises of the number and place of issue of his passport, certificate of registration or other document establishing his identity and nationality; and(b)on or before his departure from the premises, inform the keeper of the premises of his next destination and, if it is known to him, his full address there. My colleague is a British National and as such not subject to clause 4(2)I shall write the very insincere response to this review and save Arturas K. the copy and paste:Dear Victoria,Thank you for taking the time to share your review.Your feedback is greatly valued.Sincerely,Arturas K.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Price wise it's very reasonable for a quality hotel. The location is perfect, nearby hide park and extremely well connected to different subway lines. There are restaurant nearby too and a very good pub a minute a way.The hotel is located in a very cute building in a very calm street. Our room (regular double room) was very clean and practically organised. For two nights, it was ideal. For a longer trip I would try booking the biggest room they propose. The service was particularly good. Shaker, the man from the reception is very amical, remembers you and is helpful. We forgot a pair of shoes in the room and the hotel kindly alerted us, which is actually rare enough...

The hotel stay was absolutely wonderful. It's very central and we could do all the sights without losing time. The person at the reception, Chaker, really took care of us. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided good advise. We were also very happy with the service at the hotel - all thanks to Chaker!

Just had a weekend stay in the jacuzzi room, the room was spotless all around and the jacuzzi did not disappoint, tv was a good size and the receptionist was lovely. Had such a goodnight sleep it was completely silent in the hotel and you heard no outside noise atall. Good location and i would stay here again i was really worried about coming as some of the reviews but i feel like they are very unfair. Thank you for a lovely stay.
