A friendly family run hotel situated just off the marina but part way up a reasonably steep hill. There is customer parking and a small pool ( we didn't use it as late in the season). Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet, and reasonably comfortable.Breakfast was included, but it is worth checking your booking first. Breakfast is freshly prepared, and the ingredients are of good quality. Vegetarian options are available.I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you require wheelchair access, but it would if you are fit and able. It's about 15 minutes' walk to the shopping centre, bars and restaurants.

I wouldn't say a lot different from a lot of this type of hotel and guest houses in Torquay. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was not very spacious with the double bed taking up most of the room but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Location and the available free parking are a bonus and the reason why we chose it

Very warm welcome with free parking and easy walk to the harbour.|The guest house is a little dated and could do with updating. However the place is spotlessly clean and has a personality all of its own. …

The manager is down right rude and uninterested. The rooms are tired and all the surfaces were sticky. The bed was supposed to be king size but was just 2 single beds pushed together. The carpets were filthy and worn out. …

Great place, service fab. No food served except for breakfast (which is really good) however you can order food in, to eat on the bar (the griffin)Live music some nights. Dog friendly.Room was clean and tidy.Only downside is its on a hill and goes down to sea front, but getting back up if disabled may be hard.Highly recommend
