Fabulous hotel and bar/restaurant. Lovely comfortable beds, gorgeous views across Plymouth Sound towards the city and the Barbican. Bar food is top quality, with large portions. Excellent value. Sunday carvery is amazing, with so many vegetables. And our private function with birthday buffet was superb. Best place by far.

If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered 2 meals and 2 drinks. Our food was plonked in front of us about 4 minutes after ordering, never enough time to cook it! However the scampi was burnt and the peas were like bullets, and the hunters chicken breast was cold and bone dry covered in hot BBQ sauce. We left both meals and drinks and walked out, over £40 wasted. The place was for sale so either the existing owners just don’t care, or the new owners need to seriously up their game! We are local, but definitely won’t be returning.

Always come back again and again but today it wasn't so good, menu has been changed portions smaller, hubby had fish and chips I asked for a children's burger which was £7 on the menu when I went to order was informed if it was for an adult it would cost an extra £1 which was not mentioned on the menu,I really struggle to eat a big meal at lunchtime hence the smaller portion but the chips were luke warm and the burger was dry
