A short break with my mum by coach (Daish's). Well what can I say ... amazing for the price we paid pp. The hotel is warm and inviting with friendly staff. The rooms are a little dated as expected but they were clean. …

The hotel stands close to a steep hill which takes you down to the harbour. There is a bus service every hour during the day and you can use your senior's bus card if you have one. Room 74 was fabulous. Very large, clean and quiet. …

A very comfortable hotel with good food. Plenty of choice. Nice large room. Coach journey down and back was smooth and quick. High up but plenty of buses to the front and to nearby towns I.e. Paignton. Had a day out on the steam train from Paignton to Kingswear and ferry over to Dartsmouth. Overall a lovely break.

First of all, I like this hotel. It's clean, The staff are great and I enjoyed the entertainment. It is on a hillside and a bit of a steep walk from the harbour, though there is an hourly daytime bus service. …

Loved my stay at this Daish's hotel. Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble and although it is away from the town and seafront there is an excellent bus service from outside the hotel. Would highly recommend. Hope to visit again soon

Room in lodge ‘adequate’ except for the paper thin adjoining wall behind the bed headboard ( could hear loud snoring from next room). Food ‘hit & miss’, powdered mash definitely a ‘miss’. So-called ‘ comedy’ entertainment finished it for me, rules prevent me from elaborating. My 3rd and last Daish’s holiday…never again!.

Staff all very friendly and helpful, room was clean and well maintained. Only slight negative would be the breakfast time at 8.30am - would be more convenient for a window of for example 7am-9am. Entertainment most evenings, overall a great stay.
