The perfect place for a night or two away. Staff were very accommodating and lovely. Location is amazing. Rooms and nicely decorated and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom is a little dated but everything was clean. Will certainly come back later.

The Anchor hosted our daughter's wedding evening event at the end of April. We were so impressed with the care and attention shown by Hannah and her excellent team of staff, from the setting up of the rooms and the equipment for the band, to the beautiful presentation of the Prosecco on arrival. The buffet was superb and the quality of the food was excellent - if anything it was over generous! Everything was so carefully considered to ensure the evening went well - including the lovely welcome sign for the wedding party. Hannah was incredibly helpful and professional from start to finish - many thanks to you all - it really was the icing on the cake to a wonderful wedding day.

Went there for early evening meal on Thursday. My hubby had fish and chips - chips good but fish was terrible. It was over cooked (batter dark coloured) and only 5mm of fish inside! Worst fish ever seen! I had mussels which were ok but the liquor looked unappealing and was far too salty so bread was not eaten. No finger bowl or spare bowl for empty shells provided. Arrived back to holiday home and made cheese on toast as both of us hungry!
