Great hotel in lovely location. Immaculately clean and lovely room. The family owners went the extra mile for us firstly to make our daughters birthday special with cakes for breakfast and also when we can car trouble they kept us warm and welcome and fixed the problem.... would stay again and have recommended to family. Lovely breakfast too including “the best pancakes ever” according to our 5 year old pancake expert!

Can quite honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Marstan,it was our anniversary while there which is why we went, our hosts Nick & Jackie were great, and nothing was too much trouble,we even got a bottle of bubbly to celebrate which was a nice gesture,we had this while in the hot tub which we used, this was great as we have one at home. The whole place was clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was fab.All in all we had a fantastic stay, and would like to think that we would return at some later date.

The owners are very welcoming. The jacuzzi is a great touch, however the pool isn't very warm at all. Would definetly stay here again. It's in a great location. 15-20 min walk into town down a hill, or less than a 10 min drive into town. It costs about £5 by cab for one way. The rooms have a unique character about them with very comfy beds. The range of food in the morning is fantastic with a fruit salad and cereal on offer. You can choose from a full English breakfast and pancakes and couple of other options. They have a bar with a great gin selection too!

Wow what a place wish I could give more than 5 stars this place is a beauty. Only 10 minutes walk from the harbour. The owners Jackie Nick and their daughter Pippa made our short break amazing and one to remember. The rooms are superb, clean spacious and very well catered for, the bath room is spotlessly clean. The breakfast has a very varied selection but I choose the full English every time which was fantastic. My wife and I will definitely be back for another short relaxing break in the new year. Thanks all for making our stay so pleasurable.

Tea and coffee making facilities in our room which was great also their was a well stocked bar I loved the bay cider. It was really good having a swimming pool and jacuzzi to sit around and relax on a hot day like we did. The breakfast is amazing theirs a menu to choose from and also a buffet with fresh fruit and cereals and yogurt. Our family stayed here shortly and was made to feel so comfortable, Jackie and Nick were so welcoming and kind. The house and hosts are beautiful making it relaxing but fun. Bedrooms are lovely and clean with drink making facilities, beds are extra comfortable and the ensuite is very clean, modern and spacious. Delicious breakfast served that sets you up for the day.Excellent location with a short walk to the town centre, harbour and main beach. This hotel is family friendly and when we return to Torquay we will definitely want to book another stay. We can't thank them enough for the impact they had during our visit.

Fantastically welcoming place. Made to feel at home, although few homes are quite as grand! Lovely pool, breakfast and good location. Only a short walk back up the hill from Torquay marina, and even shorter walk from the much quieter Meadfoot beach. Highly recommended

Fabulous place, fabulous building, fabulous hosts. What more can I say. Oh yes a fabulous breakfast made to order and served with a smile. Ian and Craig are fantastic hosts with an eye for perfection. Weather ruled out my use of the pool/hot tub but both look inviting. Just 2 minutes walk from the town and some very nice eateries
