Stayed here for one night, for the price, cannot go wrong!Room; The room is quite small, well suited for a single traveller and is within walking distance to the city. Bed was comfy. After the pub closed, it was super quiet so let you sleep easy. For me, perfect when it came to temperature too, though I like the fact a heater is in the room incase not to your liking.Bathroom; The shower is huge! Normally, in hotels, I'm smashing my elbows off of everything, but this one was great, decent temperature. Toilet when sitting was a bit narrow on account of the big shower but that's not a bad thing in my book.Food; As the hotel is above the pub, it makes travelling for food nice and easy as it's only downstairs. Dinner was decent, it was a reasonable price and was properly done by the taste of it (Hunters chicken didn't seem microwaved at least like most hotels do)However, the food is where I put the service to 4*, for one reason, breakfast. To be clear, I did not try the breakfast even though I wanted to because it wasn't served until 11am, way too late in my opinion. The barman was nice enough to tell me where to go the day before, but definitely was an annoyance for me.

Great location Within walking distance of the city centre and the train station. Car park outside is cheaper than in the city centre ones. The Staff were friendly and polite, the pub is clean and the food was very tasty. We had the breakfast (double up) and we were very impressed. Everything was great produce, the only thing I wish is that I had more mushrooms, next time I'll ask for extra. The seem to do great deals on drinks and have a pool table and sports on, so I reckon it's a busy pub on the weekends and evenings, Great prices and Overall very happy. Will be coming back

Booked a room after traveling for LASIK eye surgery. The lady at the bar was helpful and accommodating. The room was standard for the cheap price, but I found it very noisy (the pub was playing music, it was close to the road, and there was a lot of door opening and closing). I can't comment on the food as I didn’t eat, but there's a Co-op nearby for supplies. Overall, not bad for a cheap night’s stay, but bring earplugs!

Booked a table a week in advance.. to be 30 mins in and about to start our meals to be told our table has been reserved an hour after we arrived!! And the manager knew I booked it to watch the whole football game.. and they could have reserved any other table in the pub but it had to be ours! Staff were lovely apart from a lady behind the bar who was just rude! Your lucky i paid for my tab because I was going to just walk out.. and I can tell you that was my first and last time in the farmers union

Between the Jerk Chicken, the Curry Goat, the Pulled Pork, the Sunday Roast or Breakfast I could not say how wewll Cooked and delicious they all are. The Chef ( Mick/ Caribbean ) constructs many of the dishes in such an authentic way and cooks with passion.Have tried many of the dishes and all have been ecsquisit.Highly Recommend.

It was perfectly adequate for a quick one night stop over at a cheap price. I only had a single room booked. It was small but suited my needs, could do with a revamp, but I suspect this would bring the rooms upto a higher price. I wouldn't recommend for a couple on a romantic evening or weekend away. Staff were perfect, I was shown to my room promptly on arrival.

Staff were friendly enough but no real ale at all. Looks like its dying on its feet to be honest but they had made an effort with the Halloween decs!
