This is an amazing Regency style hotel located right on the seafront in Sidmouth which itself is a lovely resort.  …

This is our favourite hotel and our 3rd stay. We like it because it retains the charm and character of a Victorian seaside hotel whilst at the same time having the necessary modern facilities. …

Just returned from a short break at this hotel. The hotel appearance is of an old style building with decor to match but with all modern bedding and en-suite facilities. …

This is our 4th visit to this hotel. The rooms are good. Clean, well decorated, even better with a seaview. …

Stayed at the hotel. Which is very nice. Excellent staff.Didn't have a Seaview but room was good and lovely bathroom and comfy beds.Food was good with wait on service. Unfortunately I and my companions will not return to Sidmouth. The town is a ghost town after 5.30 and the pubs close early. There is no entertainment in the hotel or in the town. Once you walk around the town in the day, that's it. Just charity and gift shops.

We have just spent 10 days holiday at this traditional hotel. It is not a commercial enterprise but privately owned by the Hook Family. It is perfectly situated on the front with wonderful views, central to the town.  …

We were on a coach trip and, second morning, my husband noticed some bugs climbing up the mattress base.  …

Enjoyed a short 4 night stay. Staff, friendly and accommodating overall excellent. Rooms were tidied each day but not necessarily vacuum but left presentable. Location right on seafront. Only a few minutes walk from the town, with its selection of shops etc.Meals (breakfast and evening meal) are excellent, with a good choice each evening. Quite a mazie of corridors on upper floors as the building was once two hotels. Lifts available. Chilled water is available in the reception area. Didn't get the opportunity to use the spa treatments.

Perfect in all respects. Great food and beautiful room, will definitely be back. Pity about the weather but this is not their fault. A little bit of old England. Not advised for weight watchers but well worth it . Not cheap but certainly value for money
