If you're on a budget this is a decent enough place to stop, the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is clean and comfortable. This is an economy hotel so we appreciate we should only expect too much. We selected a room with disabled facilities as one of us has mobility issues. The room was clean throughout. The "double bed" were two singles simply pushed together with separate mattresses and bedding and no joining mechanism. My partner is disabled and when she turned over in bed they separate and she fell through the gap. Not a great start. We asked the receptionist to see what could be done the following morning and later in the day we returned to find both bed halves properly connected and a replacement double mattress in place. So good service there. The bathroom was a wet room. Seemingly Ideal for disabled use with a fold down seat in the shower corner. However the drain wasn't very efficient leaving the floor wet after a shower. There were no floor mats or textured floor to reduce slippage. Again not idea for someone with mobility issues. We used the hand towel as a floor mat. Also the hot water took two or three minutes to come through. Who wants to sit under a cold shower waiting for the water to warm? The all you can eat Breakfast bar was reasonably good with a small though well cooked selection of traditional fare as well as a selection of baked goods and cereals. My one minor issue is that the serve yourself dishes for the cooked food were rather small. When you have around 15 or 20 guests arrive for breakfast and the serving tray contains 15 sausages, it runs out quickly and some of us were left waiting for it to be replenished. The staff tried to keep top of that though when the sausages were refreshed the bacon ran out, then the eggs and, well you get the picture. A simple increase in the size of the serving dishes and therefore contents would have prevented queuing. All in all though a fairly decent breakfast bar.Apart from a restless first night the remaining two days were OK. Recommended for anyone on a budget.

If you're on a budget this is a decent hotel. The staff are friendly and the place is clean and relatively comfortable.||The disabled access room we had wasn't very well set up with no anti slip in the bathroom. Hot water took ages to come through. the bar/restaurant was fine. ||

A basic but very clean and comfortable ground floor room. A good sized bed and controlled heating. There was coffee and tea with kettle, a TV and internet. On the hotel was a comfortable and well stocked bar area which also did food and an excellent breakfast buffet. The staff were very polite and extremely pleasant.Dog friendly and good car parking. The only drawback was a bit of a walk to the town centre.

A last minute booking as our journey to Cornwall was delayed by roadworks and bad weather. Found the places easily and check-in was smooth. We booked the meal deal with the room. Food was enjoyable, albeit quite simple, but the service lacked a friendly smile. We had to book a family room, as that was all that was left. The made up children's beds consumed a lot of space in the room, especially as we had our dog with us but we managed.Overall, delighted they had a room to break our journey and would stay again but, come on, customer service could be better.

Great, comfortable stay. States limited parking, first come first served, but there were plenty of spaces when I arrived. Still some left late on too. For me (old bones!) it was about a ten to fifteen minute plod into town. Not far, conveniently located and easy to find. No problem at all with room key, just keep it away from your mobile, it's fine. Clean, spacious room. Towels, kettle, drinks, tv supplied. No hairdryer but I don't use one anyway. Had an electric fan in the room for which I was very grateful. Lift to floors. I didn't eat here so cannot comment on food and dining services. I would use this again when visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, yes. No issues at all.

We stayed 2 nights in July. A very friendly welcome and fast check-in in. The breakfast was well stocked with a good selection. The rooms were very hot and the windows only open a few cms so no air. Also, the bike shelter outside doubles as a smoking shelter, and the smoke comes in through the gap in the window!! The shower room was very poorly ventilated with no working fan and a sign saying to keep the door shut! The car park was a free for all with people even sleeping in vans!Next time we visit the area we will stay elsewhere.

Stayed in Jul 24. Hotel and staff were amazing, very friendly service and food was also nice. We left a shirt (birthday present) in the room and contacted reception who said it was there hanging up but we would have to contact Head Office. 7 emails, 5 phone calls and one promise of a phone call back from the complaints department...Still no contact whatsoever. Such a shame as would otherwise have been a 5 star review and we would have a made a group booking for an upcoming party.
