We stayed 2 nights as a little get away break. When we were checked in we were told that there was a lift engineer was on site fixing the lift (2 days later the lift still not working) so would we be okay walking our cases up to the …

Hotel staff are lovely. I stayed on a match day and had a room that looked out on to the pitch. The only down side was, post match the flood lights stay on and they mow the lawn until about midnight. The staff brought in for the match aren't so helpful as they don't know the hotel layout. The gym is pretty good as us the breakfast choice. A lovely quirky hotel.

It was the most terrible experience of staying at hotel in my life! The air condition at the room was broken, a temperature at our room was 29 degree by Celsius. It was impossible to open a window at the room, temperature outside was comfortable 18 degree. We kept a door to common corridor open and the temperature became 27 degree, still extremely hot, and level of CO2 was very high (see attached photo). However what annoyed me even more than a temperature and bad air – it was a lie! I called to reception and complained about air condition, they promised to fix it (of course it was never done). I talked to other guests and founded that there were plenty rooms with broken air conditions. And that this problem existed for a long time!!!We booked a room with air condition (it was mentioned as advantage), but no one informed us that it was broken when we were checking in. They new that it does not work, they new that they would not fix it and they lied. It is disgusting! We had a terrible night of boiling temperature and we had a bad headache next morning.

Stayed for the short break from long driving twice and both times we have negative experience.First time when we have stayed there a/c in the room.wasn't able to change into the heating (it is just didn't work). We spent night in cold room.Week after we came for the Second time and hoped all issues will be resolved, we decided to give another try, but have faced more bad and negative experience: no a/c and no heating at all.One of the staff from reception accepted that system is not working and maintenance is available only on Mondays because it is "franchise "and they don't have on site maintenance available like in bigger hotels.Room was really cold, even with the small standing fan, it is not powerful enough to warm up big space.Take shower wasn't possible at all because in the bathroom was freezing cold. Also I believe is not clean enough, only shampoos are reminding you that you are at Hilton, rest of everything is old fashioned and outdated, also needs to be cleaned properly. Photos not able to attach because there is no option for it.

Our stay started with a 10 minute walk to our room. The rooms were located extremely far from reception and as you can imagine, this isn’t the best start. We then had to pay £10 to park at the hotel which is about a 5 minute walk with luggage to reception.Air on in the room is none existent. No windows or ventilation.Woke up at 1:30am with alarm to which we had no explanation for. Naturally lost sleep wondering what was going on.Very poor experience sadly

Room we had was enormous with massive tv. Staff at reception were friendly. Slept really well and used the anecdote bar which was good food. Breakfast selection was extensive and staff again friendly. Checkout was simple. Car park was a bit confusing as there is an A and B car park.

The receptionist was very professional and friendly . He suggested me to watch the football game. Thanks to his suggestion I really enjoyed my first football match in UK. The breakfast was good. The lady working there was so nice and cheerful.

I stayed here 07/09 for 1 night as a diamond member to attend an black tie awards ceremony and had a rocky start with the hotel experience. We didn't like the room we were given - (Queen with a view) as it was far too small, the view was incredibly limited. It then took a while to get through to reception (10mins) to advise that the room wasn't suitable and had limited functionality. Once we got through to reception though, the rep immediately changed our room, assisted us with our luggage, and moved us to a twin room which was perfect! Very content with the size and layout as it was functional for us to get ready and have our business meeting in the morning. I was so relieved having endured a trying journey to the location. The bathroom was very noticeably dated; the bath was small and wasn't too clean. In addition to this, the showers water pressure and flow was shockingly poor, (I was literally so shocked), which was a huge let down and had to get a cup to catch water to ensure I could properly wash with the shower as I definitely weren't going to sit in the bath tub!Regardless, we were so geateful for the size and functionality of the room and running water I didn't bother complain but definitely requires work becauae its such a huge letdown! The rooms weren't as clean as they ought to be, beds should be moved and at least hoovered under as when looking for a lost sock upon leaving, I found someone elses sandal, old vapes, and serious dust bunnies and I barely moved the bed!! I'm glad I discovered this at the end of the stay as I don't think I would've been so content the previous day. The breakfast was very nice and accommodating for my business partner who had various food intolerances. The breakfast team made it such lovely experience as they were very attentive and made use feel so welcome, especially Marianne and the male colleague she was on shift with whose name I didn't catch. Thank you for the wonderful service! I would definitely have breakfast here again, and would love to stay again due to the size and functional room but the bathroom would need an uplift - fixing the shower pressure and rooms to be more thoroughly cleaned! Thank you for experience DoubleTree as the sleep was really good and the breakfast and staff were receptive and kind!
