Was stranrded in Stranraer for 2 nights due to my car breaking down coming off the ferry in Cairnryan and thankfullly the lovely staff at the Marine House found a room for me at the last minute and also accommodated my wee dog until my car was fixed. Nice clean rooms with everything you need along with a hot breakfast. Large public car park across the street alongside a nice park you can wander around and the high street is a few minutes walk away if you need anything. Hope to stay here again if I need to in the future! Thanks Emma & co for having me :)

This review is WAY overdue but in no way is diminished by the delay! The new owner of the Marine House could not have been more amazing! …

We have stayed here twice, on both occasions prior to an early ferry to Larne. The room we had overlooked the harbour. It had been recently refurbished and everything was of a high standard. …

Situated on the Main Street opposite Agnew park with good views of the loch. Room was clean, tidy and presentable. Tea and coffee making in the room, en suite with plentiful hot water. …

Turned up feeling unwell, staff were brilliant and I stayed a week! Good breakfast and newly opened restaurant and bar make for a great stay. Would recommend this hotel for ferry and as a base for exploring this part of Scotland. Boss Dougie and his pal Scoot will make you feel at home.

We stayed just one night at the Marine. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel looks to have been renovated recently and the rooms are finished to a high level. Breakfast was delicious. Impressed with everything about our stay.

Lovely little hotel, quiet and compact and great value for money. There was a texting service provided for a detail itinerary. The breakfast is very very nice and included in the price. Only 1 downfall it is right beside a busy main road but due to double glazing in the room this can't be heard. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly.

Drove 5 hours up to Scotland to arrive to a dirty, dark, unsafe and inaccessible house. When we arrived, the front door was wide open, allowing access to anyone. No reception to keep an eye on who is coming in and out. …
