Just popped in for a soft drink after walking the railway-Brilliant friendly place ,service and one of the locals Finn the Border Collie was there hogging the darts not Euro 24.Guess no one could match him.|Lovely scenery nearby and views from the old railway-highly recommended even on a grey afternoon.||See Strathmore, don’t miss out😀

My son and I went to the bar for a hot drink. I asked for plant milk for my coffee. I was surprised because this small bar had soy milk. They could offer vegan biscuits and soup as well. The service was fantastic by the waitress. I forgot to ask her name. The bar is spotless, including the toilet. In the future, I will visit them if I am in that area again. I highly recommend this bar.

A great, friendly pub with good beer (!), a selection of hot and cold lunchtimes snacks. It seems to be very much involved in the community, running bingo and movie nights etc regularly.I took part in their Wednesday Night Acoustic Sessions, run by Dave and they welcomed even gobby holiday makers like me! 😁 A great range of music, go along to listen or take part in the music or other ventures. Or just go for a quiet drink. Enjoy! 👍

A local hotel and pub that punches above its weight. Felt welcome walking in, the staff were warm and good company. The menu is typical of a pub with a focus on food, and the quality of it was excellent. You could easily miss this, but you really shouldn't.

Wednesday nights are music nights in the lounge section. Poets, Singers, Guitars, Mandolins, Ukeleles and Accordion on my last visit. Open to all performers. Very enjoyable

I was in this lovely local pub with family and couldn't have been more happy with out visit. The staff very friendly and also interacted with the children which I thought was great. The food was excellent and I would recommend anyone passing to drop in for refreshments or a spot of lunch. Will certainly be going back.10/10

Myself and my husband had lunch here yesterday. I had the steak pie and Andy had one of the burgers. I must say it was the best pub lunch I have ever had. Apparently they use a local butcher for their meat. This coupled with a chef that really knows what he is doing is a great recipe .Also the staff were fantastic and the locals were really friendly. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place.GinaEdinburgh
