This is one of most comfortable hotel I had in my 2month Europe trip. The price meet the quality perfectly. Efficient helpful staff. Good location for transit. The best part is no reception, and no cleaning room every day so you have freedom to control your own time. I never understood why towels needed to be washed everyday after your own use!(unless that's what you did at home); and someone else had to make your bed everyday!(unless being served is very important while you are traveling.) This is not a hostel. With all the equipment you need in your room, 2 large common rooms and kitchen. This is a home while you are traveling.

Probably most of the rooms in the building are nice, but we were assigned one in the basement that is very dark , a bit smelly and unpleasant. The set up and wall painting need a renovation, but it doesn’t matter. …

I have been travelling in Scotland since 1985 -- ALL over the country, from Thurso to the Rhinns of Galloway, the isle of Lewis to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Many, many time in Edinburgh. …

Hotel room was OK, clean and warm. However the hotel is self service and you're supposed to get an email giving you information. We never received the info and consequently had to mess about finding a car parking space and sussing out how to actually get into the hotel. Breakfast is alright, again self service. Would have rated higher had we received all relevant info.

This place is horrible. It is an overpriced DUMP. Do not believe the pictures. I “checked in” for ten minutes and left to go somewhere decent. The room had dirty carpet lifting from the floor. …

Location is perfect. Right by everything. Accomadation itself was a little disappointing. Considering its a self check in and then no staff on duty there should be more effort made to provide guests with everything they need. We didnt pay the amount we did to go hunting for basic things like an iron n ironing board. Not much thought has gone into the layout of the room. Switches for bedside lights were not near bed. Mirror is situated where there are no plugs so cant plug in hairdryer etcThe bathroom was so small no soap holder in the shower or place to put your shower gel. This place could be better with a put more thought. Dont think il be staying here again!

Don't arrive early because no-one will be there to book you in. You have to ring the door bell and wait for someone to open it to get in to get your room.  …

This isn’t a hotel. It’s a hostel, but worse. Screaming children till midnight & no wifi in the rooms. The rooms are small and my one had the hot water pipes for the building running through it, so it was consistently hot despite leaving the window open.

People need to know this a "do it yourself" hotel. There is no staff to check you in or get your bags You get an email with instructions and a code to open a lock box for the key to your room. That said it was clean and nice and a well situated location in the city
