Really impressed about this. Plugs everywhere! No more unplugging the lamp or fridge to use my chargers and able to keep my phone close by. Good windows, the close and seal properly. |Large tv up on the wall. No water. …

The hotel is a little ‘tired’ looking, it could do with redecoration and new carpets. However, the bed linen & towels were good quality and the beds comfortable. The staff were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. The cost of the room and our breakfast was very good value.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere. There was excrement in the lavatory on arrival after having paid £99 up front. Later on turning down the bed there were red wine stains on the top sheet, indicating the top sheet had not been changed. After complaining about the excrement issue we were assured that the room had been addresed. On returning to the room after dinner, we discovered the red stains. We had asked for a double room but had to take twin on the assurance that was the remaining room. Clearly on arrival it was a three storey hotel with at least50 rooms per floor but not that many in the dining room. This is a Bespoke Hotel. Notice should be taken of their standards.

First off, the location is amazing. The views were breathtaking and it was a beautiful drive.I don’t want to give it one star because it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either.I know this is an old historic hotel but there is a difference between old and dirty…Our bathroom was not cleaned AT ALL there was hair all over the bathroom, the sink was dirty with hair and dust and the toilet had urine all over it. The receptionist ended up being the one to come and clean my room and expressed his disappointment with the cleaning crew. So i appreciate him doing that for us and he was so nice about it. The towels were still wet when we got them in our room and had to go down to get more.Again, this is an old place, so understandable to have things be outdated or not remodeled. But cleanliness is not something we should have to worry about when sleeping somewhere.I probably wouldn’t recommend.

The room was outdated and not thoroughly cleaned. There was old water sitting in the kettle from previous guests so there’s no way I was going to use the kettle even though I wanted to have tea when I got here. Who knows how long that had been sitting uncleaned. there was a dead bug on the bed next to the towels. The bed was a very old spring mattress that was very uncomfortable and difficult to sleep on. Room was cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Very very noisy all night and morning you could hear people outside our door and in neighboring rooms yelling and slamming doors. We asked if we could get dinner as soon as we checked in because their diner was 95% empty and the very rude woman at the desk was having a power trip and told us no they’re completely booked which was a blatant lie. We decided to walk down the street and get food elsewhere but not before hearing the manager ask her why she turned us away when they had plenty of room to seat us and plenty of food. She was just being mean for no reason. Never staying here again.

The hotel had a dirty, unkempt feel. The hallways and our room reeked of cigarette smoke when we arrived but luckily we could open a window. We could feel the springs in the worn out mattress.  …

A very mixed experience. Just judging the restaurant as we didn't stay at the hotel. One of the waitresses was the worst waitress we ever had. She managed to tell us that a cold fish salad and a platter of seafood were the same things!! (after giving us 2 menus with different dishes on them). She was dropping the wine bottle on the table and didn't care for the world. On the other hand the poor waiter was doing his best to try to make up for the unbelievably bad treatment we were getting by his colleague. Food was OK, not the best but decent.

Horrible dirty and run down. The room we got stunk of sewage very strong smell too. There was a pile of dirty used towels behind the door of the room. There was damp on the wall and a massive gap under the door. The door lock was poor too. We paid £150 for 1 night and had our dogs the breakfast is £15 per person on top . Parking is difficult a peak times. The whole hotel is run down and dated. It's a shame as it's a lovely part of skye with nice views.

We stayed in this hotel, came down for dinner at 8pm (restaurant closes at 10pm) and they wouldn’t serve us. They said they were fully booked and reservation only. There were only 5 tables in a 20 table restaurant being used. Sounds like they hate money and love bad service. Disappointing.Edit: the bartender is extremely friendly. He was the highlight of the place. He deserves a raise for his attention to detail and kind service
