We booked for a summer break with friends. We paid a £500.00 deposit on top of the booking fee with reassurance that it would be repaid within 2 weeks of the end of the holiday. …

I booked this for my mum and dads 35th wedding anniversary as they got married in this church. …

We had a fabulous holiday when staying at the Auld Kirk. This has been practically ruined on our return home, as the owner has failed to return the £500 damage deposit that was due to be returned within 7 days of our departure. …

For what could be a very special place, we were quite disappointed. The property is in a remote location at the end of an almost impassable pot holed dirt road.  …

Fabulous place to stay, not much hot water, leaky bath, and broken freezer could have been overlooked in this quirky property , if the lack of customer service wasn't so poor. Then not getting our £500 deposit back despite being promised week after week ( banking problems ) then no answer to any emails textes or phone calls .

Me and my partner stayed from Thursday to Monday with the hot tub included. (was £200 extra for 4 nights which was good deal). The place has been decorated beautifully but still have that old rustic church feel. Games room was great after a few wines. Duncan was really good and helpful. Will be back soon.

An amazing property, needs some TLC(fixtures falling off cupboards and bathroom walls, leaks etc). However, the biggest problem is being conned out of your £500 damage deposit which seems to be a theme with lots of renters. …

It was really neat being able to stay in a B&B that was once a church. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was the best I've had at a B&B. The walls were a little thin and we could hear a few mumblings from the room next door but it did not ruin our stay. Just be careful what you say in your room. I would definitely recommend.

Having had my first review taken down from this site I will resubmit it (and will continue to check it to ensure it stays on)||We also paid a security deposit of £500 that has never been refunded. ||We are currently pursuing legal action against the owner to recover our money. ||DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL!!!

Had a wonderful business trip to The Auld Kirk where we were catered for beautifully by the new owners Helen and Kevin. ||||It was a great off-site gathering in a lovely location and I’ll definitely be returning but this time with my family.||||Thank you both for a wonderful break.
