This is a truly wonderful place to stay, a haven of peace and beauty in a fantastic location. The accommodation is so comfortable and every detail has been carefully planned, to make for a really relaxing break. The staff are so friendly and caring - nothing is too much trouble. The farm itself is a wonderful set up and the tour provides a great opportunity to meet a whole host of animals and learn about the farm produce. If you are fortunate enough to be there for the farmers’ market weekend, you are in for a real treat, with incredible food, drink and other goods on show from a wide range of fabulous local vendors. I cannot recommend Solsgirth Home Farm highly enough. Five stars!

I was there as part of LizziMeg knitting. My cousins Morag and Rhona and my sister lynda run this firm, all hand knitted. Talented ladies all 3 ❤️ one of my cousin's was poorly, and I was visiting my sister in Sterling, and was happy to help out. It was fantastic, I met so many stall holders, and bought some amazing gifts for friends and family while I was there. I would do it again at a drop of a hat, they sell them too, only I live in the West Midlands.❤️❤️

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend in the Butler’s Flat at Solsgirth Home Farm. It’s a unique experience for those wishing to stay at an 19th century mansion built for a member of an old Stirling family going back generations. The flat has been recently refurbished and is essentially a fully equipped apartment with modern kitchen and appliances, living room with TV and master bedroom. Visitors from abroad should be aware that the bedroom has four USB outlets for charging but can request USB-C and universal UK power adapters. There is plenty of storage space for longer stays and the water pressure in the shower is impressive. There is also a folder explaining how to use various appliances but also suggestions for local services, from hair stylists to dentists. Very helpful.Upon arrival, you are met with a welcome basket containing eggs, homemade bread, fresh fruit, milk, jam, honey, marmalade and Ochils coffee - all made on premises. It’s a fantastic way to start your visit. You stay also includes complimentary farm tour to see the animals, exotic (e.g. emus, llamas and rheas) and otherwise. Jan, director of the farm and a veterinarian, happily shared her knowledge, patiently answered questions and politely smirked at bad jokes. Given it’s Scotland, the ground can get muddy at times. However, no Wellies, no problem. The farm has a large collection of Wellies (i.e., boots) of every conceivable size so no need to bring your own.Solsgirth is centrally located to many key attractions: Dollar Glen, Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies, golf courses, trails - you name it. No need to buy books of hiking trails ahead of time as the several recent ones are provided in the room. If you’re bored here, then that’s on you.In sum, you will find excellent value in Butler’s Flat at a Category B historical property in the central belt of Scotland.

What a lovely, busy little gem of a place. There are a number of small private stalls selling anything from quirky lamps to lovely artworks and trinkets. There is also farm produce both from the home farm and sellers bringing in some fine meat products. Plenty of hot food stands both in and out made fresh while you wait. Worth a trip out just for the food.
