Stayed for a week with family and could not recommend highly enough! Kevin and team were amazing. Great service, great food, house is extremely well kept. Short walk to anything you'd want to do in St Andrews. Definitely a great home base for a Scottish adventure.

I've traveled extensively across Europe and I can confidently say that this has been my favorite trip that I have ever taken due to the incredible hospitality provided to my friend and I at the Monarchs House. Kevin was exceptionally friendly and was more than happy to answer any of our questions and point us in the right direction in order to have an enjoyable time in the beautiful town of St. Andrew's. The house is a 5-10 minute walk from everything there is to do and see, and that's not to say that St. Andrew's is lacking in attractions in any way. Monarchs House is just perfectly located in a neighborhood off of the main road, where there are plenty of fun bars and good restaurants. Who needs to go to a restaurant though when there is Kevin's delicious cooking back at the house? The Old Course is also maybe a 10 minute walk away and is quite the surreal experience. The house itself is incredibly cozy and is equipped with every amenity necessary to ensure a pleasurable stay (Wireless internet, a fireplace, widescreen TV with lots of DVDs to choose from, a full kitchen, etc.). Bottom line, if you're going to St. Andrew's, this is place to stay. Monarchs House is a shining example of hospitality done the right way to ensure a perfect experience for the guest. Highly recommended for anyone, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect. Great food and fun. All rooms are a little different but ensuite. Food is great. Easy walk to center of town. Great home base for our Scottish holiday. Lots of charm and golf.
