We paid £360 for 2 nights bed & breakfast. For that price we would have expected the breakfast to have been better. There was not an option for a full Scottish breakfast (black pudding, haggis and tattie scones not offered). …

We had no luck getting a room in St Andrews and on the way to somewhere else that had a room we had a chance peek at the The Old Station or should I say we noticed a great big train carriage on someones lawn. We turned the car around and popped in to see its a carriage on tracks and part of what was a railway station. We asked if the had room for the night and they did. What a great find that was. Such a pleasant little place, great friendly staff (owners) and a very comfortable bed & clean room. Next morning it was down stairs to what was a feast of a breakfast which set the both of us for the day. If I'm ever back up to this part of the world (and I will) and now I know where it is, I'll be making a beeline for this lovely little place on the outskirts of St Andrews. Happy to recommend this place to anyone.

It is no exaggeration when I say, I could live at the Old Station all my life. The room was so cosy. The bed was out of this world. The shower facilities were on par (Please excuse the pun). The views were stunning. The owners, Dean and Alisa couldn't have done anymore for me. Including their son Lewis, they are the most friendliest people you could ever meet. The wide breakfast selection was delicious. The Old Station is set in a beautiful location and it is not to far away from the centre of St Andrews. I personally like the quiet life and this four star bed and breakfast ticked all my boxes. This will definitely be my go to stay in the future. Thank you for the very warm welcome. I was sad to leave.

Stayed one night at The Old Station just outside St Andrews. Spacious room with a large comfortable bed. It’s a tastefully decorated home with a large garden. There is a large breakfast room where breakfast was cooked to your order. A very good substantial meal. The hosts are extremely friendly.

Perfect location just outside St Andrews. Short 5–10-minute drive into town. The hosts were great! Breakfast was very good. If you go, stay in the train car. It was unusual, but awesome. Perfect jumping off point to explore the coastal towns!
