Visited this park last month. The play park is filthy and needs to be scrapped and re built. Waited ages to be served in the restaurant. When the food arrived it was disgusting. When we complained they couldn't care less. …

Stayed on touring part of site in campervan. Pitches small and uneven which is a shame. Toilet block dated. Saving grace was the restaurant. It’s a shame they don’t tidy up the touring area as there are so few touring sites now. …

We tried this place for the first time. It’s outside Burntisland and a 8 min bus into BI which is lovely, great people, lovely wee shops which cover everything you might need. Pettycur however 🙄 Well it’s like going back to the 1980’s era - the staff are all fab but the menu, decor etc in the main building - it’s like you’re entering a time warp. The parking for tourers or motor homes is right beside the main road with endless boy racers bombing up and down the road. The whole space for tourers hasn’t been updated for MANY years and the facilities take me back to school showers and bathroom. There’s outside plants growing inside the toilet block. No option to recycle rubbish and lots of broken chairs etc in the rubbish area that have clearly been there for a while. Very little you can do without some investment really but the maintenance folks do their absolute best I’m sure. We won’t stay again.

Slightly disappointed no internet on the tourer site. New to this caravanning malarkey and (wrongly) assumed all parks would have Internet free or otherwise. May return but with so many other lovely sites to try, this may be a deal breaker for us. Wouldn't always use but like yo know option there.

This caravan park is absolutely incredible, it's so close to burnt island and the view is absolutely amazing. In burnt island there are numerous takeaways and most of them are good. The shows are a great time too in the summer. 5 stars

Would give zero stars if possible one of the worst sites in the UKPettycur Bay Holiday Park (touring section)Positives:Restricted Views across the ForthNear to familyShowers were hotOn site entertainmentNegativesDirty lots of litter and dog excretionOld worn Facilities and in places brokeDoors to toilets brokenLocks on doors in toilets brokenNo hooks to hang clothes in showersNo warden on site well he is occasionallyPitches tiny and unevenTents pitched right next to caravans and motorhomes doesn't seem to be any regard for distance between camping units.Arrived early on a Friday in a VW campervan to get a pitch before visiting the East Nuke and family. Had to leave a £20 deposit for a toilet key, we were told that the deposit is needed as people steal the keys, which implies that thieves are common on the site.Found an almost level pitch and set out a pitch marker held down with heavy stones, we arrived back at around 21:30  to find the pitch marker smashed and in pieces. We tesselated the van onto our pitch, then realised that I couldn't open the driver's door without hitting the tent pitched next to me, far less able to get out of the cab without standing on the tent, so had to move to the other end of the site and park on a steep section impossible to level even with blocks.Very noisy campsite with several campers celebrating into the early hours.Around 12ish the campsite becomes even noisier as other campers arrive back from the local pubs and the onsite entertainment, there is always a background drone of passing traffic punctuated with the barking and yapping of dogs.In the morning we were woken to the sounds of a cherry picker and a couple of blokes cutting back climbers up the side of the toilet block(very little safety gear no gloves or masks). The toilets are old to say the least, with the doors appearing to have been kicked in a few times, but in their favour they are cleaned daily. The showers are the type that need pressing every few seconds to start the water flowing. The water pressure is very low and the result is that the toilets take ages to fill after a flush and the flush is pretty poor. The wash up area has one sink and  there is no bin so users leave 1/2 full food containers littering the room, the taps are broken and needs to be pressed constantly to allow the flow of water, needless to say the is no plug for the sink.I think the main function of the warden is to collect any unpaid pitch fees as I only saw him a couple of times and each time he appeared to be checking that monies had been paid for the pitch. Most of the pitches are on the very small side and a campervan just fits on most of them. The majority of the pitches are not level requiring blocks to level.

Food was terrible for the premium price paid. We were extremely disappointed with both the quality and price of the food and drinks and the standard of service. The lentil soup was like something straight out of a primary school dinner. The main was steak pie - think dry, parched pastry on a bed of stringy, fatty meat served with crunchy undercooked broccoli and almost raw carrot. Considering the price paid and luxury marketing of the venue this was underwhelming to say the least. The service was slow and waiting staff were inefficient - they obviously didn't care and couldn't be bothered to engage with diners. A member of our group requested that the table water jug was refilled and this was fobbed off as they were "busy serving".Not to mention the price of drinks at the bar! A pint of "draught lemonade" cost £4.10 - essentially a pint of soda water with a miniscule hint of lemon. What a rip off. They are completely taking advantage of the isolated nature of the venue and think they can charge what they like as customers have no other option. Disgraceful. We will not be returning - there are many thriving local businesses in Kinghorn that deserve our custom and this is certainly not one of them.
