We stopped by as we heard about its authentic Irish bar experience boasting best Guinness outside of Dublin, we arrived being told to go to the upstairs which looked unfinished and very tacky function room with then being charge £7.30 for a pint that was just average, swiftly had them and left for one of the bars nearby.Wouldn’t rush back and would advise anyone to give it a miss

Great place for a great atmosphere. The upstairs is more roomy and the service is fantastic, it's always busy but the bar staff do an awesome job of keeping everyone topped up and also clearing the empties. Good place for sport too

It’s true what you’ve heard, mulligans probably has the best Guinness outside of Ireland. The pub itself is quite nice and has a nice vibe. It was very busy when I went, but the service was quick. The only downstair is, the drinks aren’t cheap. At over £7 a pint there are a lot of cheaper places out there. If you love Guinness and Irish bars, I would highly recommend.

A fantastic pub in many ways.Great craic in there with live music and a real buzz from that large crowdBut the cost........ Wow what has happened? It is very very expensive now. No need for it!Also beware that I was overcharged significantly for one round- fair enough mistakes happen and they held up their hands. BUT my refund was in cash (despite being told previously it was card only due to a lack of change?) and was in a large amount of coins. Not good.Still on the good list but it has dropped in my standing some way.A shame really as has always been a go to pub.

Me and a mate here on a Saturday and tried out the new upstairs area. It’s a great setup – plenty of room, with different levels, live music going, and the sport on TV. Definitely a good spot for a few sherbets.Goes without saying, the Guinness was obviously excellent –likely top 3 in Manchester. They’ve really nailed it. The only downside was the price – somewhere around £7.50 a pint, which feels a bit steep. I get that they’ve gained a bit of attention recently, but it seems like they’re pushing it.One thing we noticed was the number of bouncers around. They were all over the place, so they must expect, or possibly deal with, a fair bit of trouble. Didn’t bother us, but it’s something you can’t miss. All in all, it’s a solid place – just a shame the prices are as steep as they are.

You should go here if you want the best pint of Guinness. It was the best pint of Guinness in Manchester, but it was also more than £7. I'd have at least expected friendly staff and not to have to route for a seat. Also, why am I being asked to take my hat off at 2pm on a Friday afternoon?

Best Guinness I've ever had. Great and authentic experience. Went there for a beer before our flight on a saturday at 3PM. Pub was packed and there was a live show - two lads with a guitar and a bodhrán. Didn't want to leave really. If I ever find myself in Manchester again, I'm coming over again for more than one beer.

I came a long way to this place to try the best Guinness and it’s worthy for me and my friend. For my personal opinion I think it’s the best Guinness I had in UK so far ( London/Manchester/ Liverpool )

Used to be a traditional "City" pub. Now an "Irish " pub, so as you'd expect it's a full on rowdy pub. Plenty of atmosphere, very busy, and seating can be a premium. Guinness was on point and served professionally and as speedily as you could expect. Bar staff friendly and attentive. Door staff also helpful as I was hobbling with a stick, opened both doors to make entry and exit easy. Music was as you'd expect, loud and Irish. Only issue I personally have is TV'S all over the place. Pubs are for talking and drinking in my book, but Sport dominated nowadays. Hey Ho. I recommend it as a pub though.
