Very good location in town. Bedding good. But wifi was not working although reported to the security number. Not working for 2 days out of 3 days of stay. The fire alarm went on for 30 minutes. We were directed over the phone to put it off. Not knowing what triggered it and not having an alarm for the night. The living room is packed with furniture and not welcoming. The kitchen is as basic as in a dorms. The cost per night is not cheap. Overall stay not worth the money

Very comfortable and efficient stay in Inverness. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. Arrival was seemless, all instructions were given but email ahead of time so everything is self-service without any issues. The cleaning lady was also lovely and very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend!

Very good location, with a short walk into the City. |Parking nearby was not available, but the Cathedral car park was fine less than a 10 minute walk. |Plenty of eating places and pubs along by the river, and Johnny Foxes for live entertainment.

I don't like to leave bad reviews generally but I just feel it would be good to leave details here which may help other people choose accommodation.||First of all, I paid £160 for one night, just room and no breakfast. …

I visited the hotel this week for 2 nights.Sadly I found it very laking in basic amenities.First you get send a code to open a small save at the door to get your key. The code we received was wrong and we could not enter the building. The emergency telephone number posted at the door was not picked up after over 5 minutes of trying. We then decided to go to a restaurant and try to get the correct code via mail. Which worked Afer about an hour of mails. We then went into the building and noone was there. We were completely alone in the building. And had to get our key to the room and building via a save at our rooms door. But quiet fast it would become evident, that the room was more suitable for a singe bed, not a double. And therfore it was very hard to move around. At the wall side there was only about 20cm from bed to the wall and on the other side just a tiny bit more. The bathroom sadly had a more or less defect shower. Were the holder for the shower head was broken and would not stay in place when water was turned on. Therfore it was required to hold the shower head while showering otherwise it was not possible to shower at all.The hot water in the sink was even after letting in run for about a minute or two still just as cold as the cold water. Which might explain the decentralized water heating in the shower. The wallpaper in the bathroom and the main room was coming of the wall in many places. And the bedsheets had multiple stains. We contacted management about this and they denied the claims even when shown photo evidence. (see photos below)For the price of a proper hotelroom 117 ponds a night I expect a lot more.At least the cleaning staff was very nice and the communication via email was in most cases quite swiftly followed up upon. All in all I had such a bad experience that I felt the need to leave my very first Google review.

I stayed there as a solo traveler in August 2017. The checkin time was 4:30 PM and the host (an old husband) was not at all accommodating in checkin early. However, visiting them second time, the lady obliged and I checked in at around 2 PM. En-suite room was small, authentic, shabby and Victorian. Breakfast was average; hot toast and tea / coffee with cold milk, corn flakes, frozen meat etc. The ambience was not at all welcoming.

I’ve stayed in a lot of B& B’s but this was a blast from the old fashioned past true Victorian charm or clutter depending on your perspective. Old timey decor is one thing but old timey discomfort is not. …

Stayed in Melrose "Villa" for a few nights, unfortunately I left it late to book somewhere and this was the only place that wasn't priced stupidly high and that's for a good reason.||Arrived at 4pm and rang the bell, no answer. …

The first thing I’d suggest is to make sure you stay in the main part of the house and not the annex. Annex had no WiFi. You have to sit in the main part of the house.  …
