This was a good stop on the NC500, we had a family room, which enabled my daughter to have her own room. ||The walls are thin, and the floors are creaky. The staff were all really friendly. …

Popped in for lunch on the way past, delighted that most places in Dornoch cater for coeliacs. Good choice with tasty food. Pleasant helpful staff and really nice coffee to finish off. Would definitely come in again.

The hotel is really good situated in the middle of Dornoch. The room was nice amd had everything one could need: tea and coffee maker, hair dryer, enough space even with 2 suitcases. …

Small Hotel in Dornoch, which is well run. Room was small, and walls are very thin!! Everything very clean, although the double bed was indeed small. Food was excellent, traditional fare, and the staff were all friendly and efficient. Great place for a night doing the NC500.

We had lunch here and hadn't booked. We were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. It was a Sunday so they had roast dinners and other large mains on the menu but we wanted something light so went for the light bite menu and had a tuna melt toastie and a cheese toastie both with salad. They were freshly made to order and were very tasty and the brown granary bread was moreish...there is a white bread option as well. The salad accompliment was just lettuce and tomato with coleslaw which contained a bit too much mayonnaise. The landlord was very accommodating, attentive and professional and ran the place well. He went out of his way to ensure we had the WiFi password and offered to refill our drinks before the thought occurred to us. It's dog friendly but only if they sit at the outside tables. There is an excellent and broad selection of local whisky. A good spot for lunch if your visiting the pretty village and opens half an hour before other venues. The prices were reasonable too.
