Shaun (the owner)was an excellent host. This is what hosting should be like. I loved the peace and tranquility of this place as the cabins are on a farm. The rooms are large and well presented.

Great lodges and fantastic hosts , plenty of parking , really quiet place out the way and the extras like fresh breads and jams on arrival are a bonus , could do with a bigger tv though , will miss being here now working in a different area

We have returned recently from 'one week' stay at 'The Old Flower Field Lodges', where we had the MOST AMAZING time. Our stay was made so much more enjoyable b/c of our hosts 'Shaun' and 'Sue' who run the business. The lodges were extremely comfortable, all the home comforts you need to make your stay more enjoyable / relaxing. Additionally, laundry and 'disabled / wheelchair' friendly (seated) shower facility is available for guests. Regretfully, we returned home on Saturday.Anyone looking for great location to stay, near to south-coast, home comforts and excellent hosts, we recommend you look at booking time at The Old Flower Field Lodges'.

What a beautiful lodge! If you are looking for somewhere to stay with a luxury feel, you will not be disappointed. Fitted out to a high standard, luxurious bedding, well-stocked kitchen and excellent shower room. Spend a night, a weekend, or make it your base for the South Downs for a couple of weeks. The owners are very friendly and helpful - really could not recommend more highly

A group of us stayed in the lodges for a long weekend as we wanted to get the best of both worlds being in close proximity to Brighton and the South Downs. Such a tranquil and beautiful spot and the lodges themselves were spacious, immaculately clean and very well appointed with everything you would need for self catering. Shaun was an excellent host. We loved our time here and really look forward to returning!

This is a little gem! The lodges are superbly designed, beautifully equipped and simply places of comfort and joy.We spent a relaxing week in a lovely part of the Sussex countryside. Greeted by Sean with a welcome hand with our baggage and fresh eggs from their own chicken, bread, butter, milk, cereals and marmalade, closely followed by Susannah’s delicious home-baked lemon drizzle cake.No experience directly of the adjacent camp site which is limited to eight tents only but we were hardly aware of the occupants, quietly enjoying the facilities. The lasting overall impression was one of quality facilities, friendly service and a certainty that we will return.

Great place. All cabins are immaculate with everything you could need. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was amazing in the winter time. Set in the countryside just a ten minute walk outside the village which is beautiful. Owner is super helpful and really friendly. Absolutely loved the welcome pack which was left for us, which included a lemon drizzle cake which I have taken the recipe for home with me! Couldn't ask for anything more and will definitely come back for another relaxing stay.

We’ve just returned from an amazing two night stay at the lodges at The Old Flower Fields. The lodges are stunning and fitted with everything you’ll ever need. We didn’t arrive til late and we were greeted by Shaun and given a tour, included in the lodge was a welcome pack of eggs, milk, bread and even better was the lemon drizzle cake and bar of chocolate!Shaun was the perfect host, giving my husband and other family members a lift in the morning to collect cars following a wedding reception and allowing my little girls and nephews to feed the chickens and collect the eggs.Wouldn’t hesitate in booking another stay here, shame it’s so far from Manchester!

Shaun and his wife Su are the most wonderful hosts. From the moment I rang him last minute from the airport about booking our stay until the moment we checked out Shaun was nothing but helpful and welcoming. The lodges are modern, very clean and decorated to a high standard and we will definitely be back! Our children loved the indoor/outing living and playing with the other children who were staying in the neighbouring lodges and campsite, not to forget Boris the dog! A wonderful place I would highly recommend!

My wife and I spent a very relaxing long weekend in one of the lodges. We were very comfortable and the lodges are luxuriously appointed, quality furniture, endless hot water for the shower and everything we needed in the kitchen. The location is perfect. A short walk along a pavement takes you into historic and pretty Hurstpierpoint which has everything you will need for a holiday break: shops, pubs, restaurants and even a wine bar. Alternatively, if you wish to explore on foot, there is an extensive network of public footpaths all around the area, starting from the front gate of the Old Flower Field. Strongly recommended.
