We stayed here on Saturday night so that we could visit nearby family. I loved that there was ample parking and that the accommodation was set off to the side of the pub, so it was lovely and peaceful. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Staff in the pub were friendly and very accommodating, we would have had something to eat, but we arrived at 8 pm and sadly the kitchen was just closing.Really, for the price, my only real gripe was that the breakfast, although extremely tasty, was somewhat less than we've ever had at any other establishments. Our coffee, half filled and no offer of a refill. The one slice of bacon was divine, as was the one sausage. I also enjoyed the half tomato and small amount of scrambled egg...but I did expect 2 rashers and 2 sausages as we normally get elsewhere. We also noted that their continental breakfast on the venue only consisted of cereal and toast...in my books, that is NOT a continental breakfast! So,to sum up. If you are looking for a good place to stay that is clean, relatively peaceful, and has lovely staff, then I can recommend. However, if, like us, you like a hearty breakfast...I would go elsewhere.

Just back from a very enjoyable stay at the Coach and Horses. This place is great value for money and despite being close to a busy road, the accommodation is perfect with no noise issues or disturbances. …

Lovely old fashioned pub feel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great big beer garden, which includes a covered area. Excellent quality breakfast. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Modern clean room with plenty of sockets and USBs. Big TV.The bar has last orders at 2230, which is a little early, especially if you are a resident. The room was very hot. A floor standing fan was supplied, but this wasn't adequate, and window ventilation was poor. The shower hose was partially broken - it worked OK, but made the bathroom look shabby and could be fixed for a few quid. The bath itself was very narrow, and one had to be careful when moving away from the taps. The bed was very hard. Toiletries were on the small side, and the 1980s want the wall mounted hair dryer back! With that all said, I would stay there again!

The Coach and Horses is a friendly place with good beer and pub food and excellent accommodation. The rooms are situated in a separate, purpose built building next to the pub. …

We stopped here on a trip back from Hastings. The roast dinner was really good and they gave a great portion size.We had pur dog and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, bringing out treats and water for him.A great little place to stop.

The family were staying at the Inn and invited us to join them for breakfast at 9am. |The person running the room very rudely refused us any service, telling us that we weren't guests. …

This place looks great. There’s plenty of parking and its location next to the A27 means that it could be a good base for exploring the area. And breakfasts prepared to order was very welcome. But the room was poor. …

Lovely food and a nice choice. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about their products. The suggestion of cherry ice-cream with the chocolate fudge cake was right on the button. We will stop there again. Thanks

The Coach and Horses in Worthing offers some modern, good quality, accommodation in the old coach house. Whilst the old coaching inn is next to the A27 the traffic noise never bothered us. …
