I recently stayed at the Travelodge in Worthing and had an excellent experience. The bed was incredibly cozy, making for a comfortable night’s sleep. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. …

The rooms were comfortable and clean. All the staff we met were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and at £10 was very reasonable.||Our room had a sea view and the hotel was located only a few minutes from the town centre and shops. Also only 5 minutes to the Hare and Hounds traditional pub.

Booked as a last-minute requirement... so, where to start?Check-in was simple, a nice lady met me at the front desk.I needed an iron and ironing board, which I was provided with, at the front desk... for myself to carry to the room, along with my bag, in a tiny lift!Entered the room and used the bathroom... where I was greeted with many hair left from previous guests on the floor, in the bath, on the sides! Had it been cleaned prior? If so, really not well at all! Then, upon inspection of the bed, many more hairs were found on, in and under the sheets! It was late, and I really couldn't be bothered to complain...The bed itself was the usual, firm hotel bed, but certainly not the worst I've slept in... once I'd brushed off the hairs from previous guests! In the morning, I had to use the shower... to be fair, it was hot with pretty good pressure. It was when I went to dry myself that I saw my towel... which came with a very nasty looking 'brown stain' on it... 🤢🤮When using the iron in the morning, to say it didn't heat very well would be an understatement! Only just got enough to iron my shirt... but only just!Final reflection... I booked as a matter of necessity, and I wouldn't really want to book again!

Superb location on the seafront in Worthing, close to the town centre too A Lovely room, Everything was clean and tidy except for the windows, I know the sea air makes them foggy and grubby , but they were really bad , especially as this …

I really am not one for leaving bad reviews generally. However, I had an emergency in the early hours of this morning and was so disappointed with Travelodge. Having returned from holiday on a delayed flight to Gatwick, I got home to find that the key safe at home would not open, leaving me stranded outside in the cold at 1.45am with all my luggage. I called a cab and they took me to Travelodge. While there were apparently rooms available, I was informed that I could not stay because I would have needed to book online before 12pm the previous day. Clearly, I wasn’t expecting to be unable to get into my own house ahead of time! I had ID, payment cards, cash, etc but was turned away despite it now being past 2 in the morning. I find this quite ridiculous and extremely disappointing. “Computer says no” at its finest. I understand the company has booking procedures but I can’t understand how a company would rather turn you away in an emergency than find a solution. Thank goodness another hotel in Richmond Road showed understanding and empathy for my distressing situation. One phone call, I was issued with a code and was in a comfortable and clean room within minutes, despite my not having booked online.

I only gave four stars as the hotel does need monies spent on refurbishment inside and out and breakfast £10 and only scrambled egg as a choice and I do like my fried or poached eggs, I enjoyed the sausages. Stayed in a recently refurbished room. The staff are lovely and helpful. Location right on seafront. Parking space is hit or miss, you can't reserve. Park for free in hotel grounds and to access parking you have to go down a side street then take a right at paddypower betting shop, so unless you know it can be a nightmare to find.

The food is so so good! Shout out to Michail! Absolutely delicious. And all staff are lovely and helpful. I had a beautiful sea view. Had a really relaxing stay. And enjoyed the happy hour (actually 2 hours!). If I could I would book every month, a night just to get away and chill. Perfect. Thank you! Xx

Small poky room, smoke alarm lights directly over the small, almost miniscule, bed were blinking brightly every few seconds all night long. Noise from the pedestrian crossing was annoying. Scruffy room and common areas. Great staff.

Great location and an amazing view from our room. Parking has a very low capacity and the car park could do with some tidying as there were bags of rubbish outside when we visited.Receptionist was probably the friendliest member of staff I have seen at a Travelodge before and seemed to genuinely care. The bar staff seemed annoyed that we wanted some drinks and desserts over 30 minutes before they closed. The room was massive which is not a surprise based on the building but unfortunately, they still used the standard Travelodge furniture designed for a much smaller room making a lot of space wasted and looking out of place. For example, the TV looked tiny on the wall opposite the double bed making it difficult to watch and the position of the other two beds meant they also could not watch it
