One of the best hotels I have stayed in for many years. Rooms are spacious and clean.Big walls between rooms and I could not hear anything whilst I was in them.Breakfast was brilliant and with the continental style they were not shy!!The only thing I will say is that closing them doors was with a bang.

The rooms are a little battered around the edges. Beds are incredibly hard and walls are paper thin. But, the staff are amazing, friendly and eager to help. The food is first class and the location is ideal for Brighton and beyond.

Lovely hotel.. Peaceful setting. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast. Please could table and chairs by front door be moved. People sitting talking and drinking getting louder as eve goes on. Can be disturbing. Staff did handle this well when asked to deal with noise.Quickly restored peace. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at the Hickstead Hotel for two nights and had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, things started to go downhill.First, both of my pillows were unbearably stinky, like someone had sweated on them and they hadn’t dried out properly. After the first night, I reported the issue to the reception and asked if they could sort out the smelly pillows. Unfortunately, when I returned to my room that night, nothing had been done. The same stinky pillows were still there, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. To make matters worse, the doors at the hotel are fitted with door closers that don’t work smoothly. I was woken up at 6:30 am by the constant noise of doors slamming as guests rushed to breakfast. It felt like a built-in alarm clock—definitely not the kind of wake-up call anyone wants while on a trip.As for breakfast, it was nothing special. The coffee was cold, the sausages were cold, and I had to wait several minutes just to get some toast. The overall quality was very disappointing.Based on my experience, I would definitely not recommend the Hickstead Hotel. The cleanliness, comfort, and quality of service were all lacking.

Tricky to find, but well worth seeking out. Rooms are dated but clean. No air con but window opens. Restaurant food was ok, some sauces were a bit spicy and deserts not brilliant. Breakfast was good.

The room was cold and had to request that the heating was put on twice, breakfast was lukecearm, three young lads more interested in their phones and chatting, no interaction with customers, reception didn't check re our stay when we left . Dogs barking I adjacent rooms early in the morning would not recommend.
