Great place very clean the most friendly staff you could ask for . Booking for our girls to come back to enjoy Barry. And me and the other half loved this place . Couldn't ask for more great for the money . Very close walk to the famous Gavin and Stacy set and into Barry which may I add such a beautiful beach. Definitely will be returning . Meet my sister for the first time in 50 years and the staff was so amazing and excited for me . Great place most definitely recommend .

Had a lovely stay, room clean tidy good value for the money especially with the view we had, lots on places on the doorstep food wise. Will definitely be back. I only have one problem the steps out the back could do with having something on them more the metal ones as they were slippy when wet

After reading previous negative reviews we were concerned we had booked but pleased we did. Got here 3 hours early and bad weather not really sightseeing. …

We stayed here for 3 nights, coming to Barry for a family party. First impressions were not great, lots of rubbish outside, weeds, cig ends and definitely needs a link of paint. …

Just had a very pleasant stay at Mount Rooms. Room overall clean and tidy. Had a lovely welcome when we arrived. Sadly we weren't potty about the view as we were at the side of the building. I imagine a room at the front would have an amazing view over towards Barry Island. Minor drawbacks about the hotel was that housekeeping was a bit poor as the bin in our room was well overflowing when we checked out and each occupant only got 1 pillow. Apart from that it was a lovely few days away.

Rooms are not reflective of those advertised via the website. Cleanliness is poor & walls are paper thin - you can hear conversations to the side of and above the room.Having said that, the staff are lush; very welcoming, chatty & all-round decent people.

We stayed at the hotel for one night to attend a party. Rooms are basic but clean. The bed was comfortable, it was lovely and quiet and had everything we needed. Our room had a large bathroom and it was spotless. The staff booked Taxis for us and got us extra milk etc. A special thank you to Jacob for being so helpful and kind.

Dreadful. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in and we are well traveled. Thankfully we only needed the room for a couple of hours sleep before going to the airport. |However, saying that, we got no sleep. …

Good points.. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was quite big and had a powerful shower. We didn't hear any noise during the night (as other people have mentioned). The bar was open until late with a fair selection of drinks. Bad points... the car park was tiny. It's very hard to get a space. The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. Luckily, I'd read some reviews and took an extra pillow because the one provided was paper thin, and the shower gel dispenser in our room was empty (Luckily, we'd taken our own).
