Fantastic! We were staying about 10 minutes down the road and we had just arrived after travelling for 6 hours. We went on a Sunday thinking they wouldn't let us in but they did. We sat upstairs, high ceilings and beautiful interior. Friendly staff and lovely home cooked food.

Generic pub serving generic low to mid range beer. Stopped after a walk but wouldn't return because of this.Struggled to get in as some donut had parked his sports car partially over the parking entrance and blocked most of the pavement so struggled to get the buggy through. Think he worked there. Bit of an eye roll moment as the pub is on a fast road.Better places to go.

Was at the pub on Wednesday, the 30th of October 2024. Mimi husband popped in to have a drink had no intentions of ordering food but in the end we did I had the fish and chips which was okay. My husband got the Tower burger I can honestly say it was disgusting. The meat was poor quality And at£15.50 I would’ve expected something a little bit more edible than what he received. The food was bland. The meat look grey. There was no taste to it. He took it back only to be told they weren’t going to give him a refund as it was his choice that he picked the bear he was also told that they save hundreds of those burgers a week and never had a complaint. Well I find that very very untrue I would not have said it to Dog put it that way I will never recommend this place to anybody or ever go back there manager she was unprofessional in the way that she dealt with this manner and as I said I would never return to the place as for the food. I would give it a one star the staff behind the bar of friendly no problems with them at all.

Regular customer for both drinks and food. Up until today, a firm favourite. Location is beautiful and front of house staff are exceptional. Food didn't taste right this evening, which is a first, so I didn't eat it and sent it back. Really disappointed that the chef put it down to personal taste and made me pay for the full meal even though I left hungry and still in need of my tea. We only went tonight because we had a beautiful meal last week, and I fancied the same dish again. Tasted nothing like last week at all, but I was made to feel like I was lying about that. We won't go back after that experience which I am really disappointed about as the pub and staff, and normally the food, are all fantastic. I'm sure this is a one off though, certainly is for me there, so don't be put off...

Last minute dinner on Sat evening on the way back from a hike. I had lasagne which was really good and meaty which is great as often restaurants fill it with more veg than meat.Partner had pie and was also happy especially as it was proper shortcrust pastry.Service a little slow given not many tables. They were cleaning bar and other areas, which no doubt needs doing, but should prioritise cleaning plates etc.Overall we'd return of in area again.

Sunny evening, really busy. Lovely greeting as usual. Fab local pub, always a lovely atmosphere. Food ordered, swiftly brought to us, hot and delicious, great homemade chips, big fish and mushy peas and mushroom stroganoff, can't fault, great pub food. Fiona, the owner and her lovely staff are attentive through out. We enjoy a walk in the Loggerheads Country Park and then call in regularly, always looked after, whether just for drinks or having food. Thanks again Fiona, lovely visiting you.

Very tasty meal. Finally had my Sunday Roast. Friendly staff. Good ales. Nice setting. Just the food service was slow. Maybe ask for a quicker meal service, we were starving, after walking the Offa’s Dyke Path, all day.
