Lovely hotel on beautiful grounds. The hotel has been refurbished and has been done very tastefully. My only criticism is there is no air conditioning in the rooms but I did know that before staying so we were fortunate that it wasn’t too hot & the fan provided was sufficient. The room was up one floor in a lift and then up a flight of stairs and down many corridors, fortunately we were only staying one night so had left our large cases in the car & just taken our small carry on case but we also had a staff member take our case to our room.Dinner at the restaurant was very nice & service was prompt and friendly. The hotel is located around 15 minute drive from Aberdeen. We would definitely stay again.

Elegance and attention to detail were evident in our lovely stay. From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed and cared for. This beautiful property is a dream to walk around with a lovely surprise around each corner. The staff was helpful to all any need or request. We enjoyed a rare beautiful sunny day!

We had our University Grad Ball last night at the Marcliffe and cannot recommend them enough for special events. Caroline and Claire were incredible helping us organise everything prior, responding to emails and accommodating last minute changes and requests. Lee on the night made sure everything ran smoothly and was so lovely. The ball room was stunning. All the bar and serving staff were really friendly, and the food was 10/10. Not a single critique to give, such an amazing night. Huge thanks again to the entire Marcliffe Team.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, we enjoyed the experience. We only stayed for one night, wish it was 2. The grounds look lovely but sadly as being in Scotland weather wasn't on our side for a walk around. We did have dinner which was lovely, staff where very friendly and attentive. Breakfast the next day was lovely great selection of cooked and continental hot food, is cooked fresh not a buffet style which was nice. We did try to book the spa 2 weeks prior to visiting sadly there was no availability. When I visit again I would check the spas availability prior to staying as I would love to try it.

As a regular at the Marcliffe, it was not up to previous standards. New staff are all finding their way.|The restaurant was disappointing with a rare steak arriving well done and a chicken dish overcooked. Service was also slow. The new owner needs to get a grip quickly.
