We checked in for a long-term stay and the Canon Court team made us feel right at home.||The apartment is also very spacious and being on the second floor one has a nice view of the surrounding building. …

Really nice apartment we stayed in. Also has parking which is a definite plus when visiting Edinburgh. Lovely and clean. There’s a bus stop right outside, a garage with a M&S across the road if you need any supplies. There’s also 2 excellent pubs who do great food, just 2 mins walk away. It’s a decent location and is only a 15 min walk to the city. Will hopefully stay here again. Highly recommended

I made a reservation in January and two months later the hotel canceled it unilaterally, without letting me do any verification, with the excuse that my credit card is not working properly. I use that card daily without any problem and the next day I called my bank who confirmed that it was working fine. As I read in other reviews, it is not the first time they have done it. Therefore I strongly advise against booking at this hotel, they are not reliable and can leave you stranded on the street a little before your trip. I have been traveling for many years and this has never happened to me. I guess they have managed to get someone to pay a higher price for the reservation that they canceled for me.

We had an excellent experience from our 1st encounter with the staff at the front desk through to the end of our stay! The apartment was well proportioned with large bedrooms. The beds in the two-bedroom apartment were king-size beds. This was ideal as our twin boys no longer want to share a bed and their bed was split into two single beds. The beds were very comfortable, and when the curtains were drawn the rooms were dark and quiet. The bathroom, kitchen and living room were also all comfortably sized. The M&S convenience store at the petrol station across the road is a bonus! There's also a dedicated secure parking area for tenants only. Best value for money in Edinburgh yet. We only had one night here but we'll be back!

This place deserves less than a 1 star rating. We made a non-refundable booking in January for a stay in August. The booking was paid up front. In April we received an email to say they are cancelling our booking. Quote:"We believe that honesty is the best policy.....with a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that we are unable to honour your reservation at this time. One of our very large, in house, corporate clients has opted to extend their booking, and as such we find ourselves short of apartments on the dates you were to stay......we have tried EVERYTHING we can to try & make your booking fit, but it simply is not possible.....we would like to offer you a Good Will Voucher (£150, valid 18 months)..(valid for stay at Canon Court Aparthotel, no cash exchange available)."Honesty may be their only policy.... certainly integrity is NOT one of their policies. If they were serious they would provide a cash voucher or they would charge their very important corporate clients extra & give us the cash. Of course, why would anyone risk making another booking at the Canon Court Aparthotel...they might just cancel on you.0 out of 5 stars from me.

Highly recommended. We required alternative accommodation for a few weeks. We could not have been luckier than Canon Court Appartments. They are very clean, well equipped if you want to cook. They are also ideally situated to supermarkets, pubs and eateries. The staff are very friendly and took care of us very well. They have their own car park which is so good being do close to the city.

My partner booked this apartment for us along with our two children. My partner was working 5 hours away from Edinburgh. So me and the children travelled up to Edinburgh for the weekend Friday to Sunday to spend time with him.He had booked the apartment for obvious reasons as we got a 1 year old and wanted it to be Homely like than a hotel room as she don't settle in unfamiliar places and it would be more suitable for a baby so she can play, watch her favourite movies etc, she adapted to the apartment but had a unsettled 1st night which was to be expected. My partner didn't read the part where you had to pay extra to cancel the booking as I wanted to cancel reading some of the reviews after he had booked it. But I thought well each to their own, my god a hotel would of been a better option. When he picked me up from train station and took us to the apartment walking in the apartment the place perfect ideal and for what us needed. Spacious living/dining area. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need. Two decent size bedrooms one with king-size bed second with two singles. Towels etc nicely presented on the bed. Bed clean and made. Next day when I got up made breakfast you seen how the apartment wasn't all that clean I think it only had been quick surface wiped if that. The tiles in kitchen was grubby greasy, and food splattered. None of this was really noticed as we got their pretty much well after 7 and we was all tired. Anyways the worktops I had to clean myself before I could prepare any food. The dinning table when I wiped that the black dirt was disgusting that came off it.The babys clothing was scruffy and black off the floors them had not been cleaned. When I went to go in shower the shower wasn't working properly infact dangerous!! It ran freezing cold then spluttered out scalding hot water then back to freezing I ended up burning my finger and side of my leg after I dropped the shower head of the burning pain I felt on my finger. On the night time after a long day in Edinburgh I decided to put baby in the bath firstly before I could do that I had to wash the bath out with the dangerous shower it was caked in grime, mould and residue around the handle bars the none slip mat had seen better days. Old hair wrapped around the plug and covered in slime mould. After a clean I ran the bath. Not working no hot water coming from the tap I kept it running for about 5 to 10 minutes still freezing cold. So we had to boil kettle water so the baby could have a bath. Disgusting!! The tiles also on floor in bathroom was loose and damaged. Never been cleaned basically the whole place. So we spent our weekend not able to get washed in a shower or bath. This was reported to reception on leaving and on morning I tried to take shower. Could not report anything else until next day as no one is available or at reception after 5 o'clock. Now to top this off they took the £100 deposit absolute nerve when their apartment are dropping to bits. which they said will be paid back into our bank in 3 to 5 working days. Still no money back we have emailed them numerous times nothing back. We have phoned them numerous times they keep hanging up on our calls. We have notified our bank regarding this matter. On the good side there is a bus stop over the road and are regular buses taking you to city center and train station. Which we used, we did walk back and took around 25 minutes. There is a m&s across the road for essentials and a tesco super store 5 minutes walk away.Would I go back? DEFINITELY NOT!Would I recommend to anyone? DEFINITELY NOT!

We had same credit card issue as others. Cancelled on us without allowing us any opportunity to "correct" it. We ended up paying double for another room. Terrible customer service. And, Booking.com was no help in trying to resolve the issue.
