Room 9 was lovely....large with a fabulous en-suite. Very clean, but so hot and no fan was provided and could not open the other window. Noisy, as room was facing a busy road. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was disappointing, however, that might be my fault. I just assumed it meant the breakfast would be cooked when it said 'breakfast included ', but it was just continental. But on the whole, we did enjoy our stay.

We stayed in March before lock down for a weekend. We got room Nr. 4 overlooking back of the property. We left very happy with our stay.||We had a good size room, quiet and stylish. …

Oh dear..... what a disappointment! Having read the reviews, we booked for our weekend in Cardiff. Unfortunately, our experience of Dexby Townhouse was very poor. …

Good location just 10-15 minute walk to city centre. Quirky large old house converted to En-suite bedrooms. Very good breakfast and friendly service. Manager is not on site, when you arrive, you ring a bell and he comes within 5 minutes to let you in. Parking can be a bit tricky on Cathedral road.

Really great place. Easy check in lovely helpful staff. Spacious and comfy rooms. Continental breakfast which was varied and plentiful. Added bonus of a fab gin bar across the road also owned by the owners of dexby. A 20 min walk to the centre with lots of bars on the way. Would stay here again whenever we are in cardiff.

We didn’t have the best of starts. We arrived and had to wait to be checked-in as there were no staff at Dexby’s, they’re across the road at CFeleven, the sister accommodation. …

Horrible place.Booked for one night for a function in Cardiff. Not sure if the price was due to the rugby being on the next day but i paid £180 for a room with a single bed, blinds that didn't reach the bottom of the window, no curtains, bolt hanging off the wall in the toilet, cracked tv screen and generally worn out surroundings. They couldn't do a full breakfast the next morning as the rugby was on so we walked to a local cafe, Brava which was superb. The photos on the website make it look so much better than it actually is.I felt very sorry for the French fans staying here - their view of Cardiff must be that we rip people off. I'd have felt cheated paying £50 a night for this.Really don't bother - there are far better places to stay in Cardiff.
